Sometimes, a Spirit Week is just what the office needs to inject some fun into the workplace! Last week, we hosted a Spirit Week at our home office, and the response was amazing. Our team really went all out with their outfits, showcasing their personalities and creativity. We loved seeing everyone’s enthusiasm and spirit–it was a great way to break the routine and add excitement to the workweek! Shoutout to Felicia Grigsby, M.A. for winning Spirit Week with her dedication to executing the theme every day! 🏆👏

Instead of engaging in office-related pranks, consider celebrating April Fool's Day in other ways that promote positivity and camaraderie among coworkers. This could include organizing team-building activities, sharing light-hearted jokes or stories during breaks, or even hosting a themed event or contest that encourages creativity and collaboration without causing disruption. Ultimately, the goal is to foster a work culture where everyone feels valued, respected, and comfortable, even on days like April Fool's Day. By maintaining professionalism and sensitivity to others' boundaries, you can ensure that everyone can enjoy the day positively and inclusively.

While having dinner with some colleagues the other day, we got into chatting about each other's qualities. I realized that in workplace It can happen that we focus on showcasing only our strengths to feel more confident and appear as high-performing as possible. However, I believe it's equally important not to hide our weaknesses (don't worry, nobody is good at everything!), and on the contrary, share them with our team! The reason why diversity within teams is so important is precisely this, and knowing each other’s strengths and weaknesses will allow you to: • Let people help you when things get tough 🤝 • Make a bigger impact in projects where you excel 🚀 • Build a stronger, more genuine bond with your team members 💪🏽 What do you guys think about weeknesses ?

Let's celebrate National High Five Day! Here are the Top 5 reasons I'm excited to join in the festivities today, and why you should too! 🖐️ Use the comments to send a virtual high five to someone you want to recognize! 🎉 🌟 Instant recognition: Recognition shouldn't be confined to major milestones or achievements; it's equally important to celebrate excellence in everyday tasks and contributions. Whether it's going the extra mile to support a colleague, consistently delivering high-quality work, or embodying the values and ethos of the organization, every effort deserves acknowledgment. High fives provide immediate acknowledgment and validation for a job well done and can be used to celebrate even small wins. 🖐️ 💬Embrace connection: In today's fast-paced and increasingly remote world, meaningful connections are more important than ever. High fives can serve as a physical expression of connection and solidarity, reminding us of the importance of human interaction and support. Virtual high fives using emojis, gifs, or video calls can also evoke the same positive emotion and sense of camaraderie. 🌐🤝 🏆An athlete mindset: Many historians trace the origins of the high five to professional sports, where it evolved from the low five hand gesture popularized in Black communities as a symbol of celebration and camaraderie. High performance work teams (both on and off the field/court) rely on teamwork, resilience, goal setting, continuous improvement, leadership, adaptability, and yes…collective celebration and recognition! 🏀🏅 🚀Powerful motivator: When employees feel seen and appreciated for their contributions, they are more likely to feel motivated and engaged in their work. Acknowledging their efforts not only boosts morale but also encourages them to continue performing at their best. 🌟 🎉Culture of positivity: By consistently recognizing and celebrating achievements, teams can cultivate a culture of positivity, gratitude, and teamwork. When employees see their colleagues being appreciated and rewarded for their hard work, it creates a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone feels encouraged to contribute their best. A positive work culture not only enhances employee satisfaction but also attracts top talent and strengthens the organization's reputation. 👏🌟 Who do you want to recognize on National High Five Day?

🌎🌏 A Global Family 🌍🌎 Have you ever wondered how a company with 3500 people spread across 350 locations in 67 countries on 6 continents can feel like a cohesive family? 🤔 In this inspiring video, you'll meet Sebastian Krarup Simonsen and Gyeong In Jo, two of my Ekstraordinær colleagues, who exemplify the strength of our global family. Despite coming from different backgrounds and roles within the organisation, they express a deep sense of belonging and unity when you hear them speak together. What's the secret behind this remarkable bond? 🤝 I believe it lies in our shared values. Our values act as the glue that binds us together, creating a strong organizational culture that transcends language barriers, professional differences, and cultural diversity. From my HR perspective, it's incredible to witness how our values foster collaboration and ensure a consistent employee and consumer experience across the globe, every single day. So, if you've ever questioned whether a company this vast can truly feel like a family, let Sebastian and Gyeong's example inspire you. I would like to acknowledge my 3500 BoConcept family members around the world for cultivating our values every single day – as glue that binds us together in our mission to transform living, leisure, and workspaces into more extraordinary places.

Happy Pride Week, everyone! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ As an IT recruiter, I'm committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable and diverse workspace. One way I contribute is by educating myself on the issue, not just in June, but throughout the year. This means reading literature both on the psychological side and about the structures of society that keep our systematic beliefs in place. And like in every other part of continuous personal development, one is never ready. My task is also to take these learnings into action. To be aware of my biases and prejudices in recruitment. If someone says they don’t have any of those, don’t believe them. The key is to be aware of how both our minds can trick us and some societal structures put people in worse positions than others. Still, one shouldn’t have to do any bigger magic tricks but just do their part. Making the world a better place for everyone is not one person’s job. It’s a collective action. What are you doing to make the world a better place?

🌟Imagine being thrilled instead of upset about an internal promotion! There are many benefits to celebrate, such as maintaining company culture and decreasing training costs. Internal promotions also boost morale, which can propel productivity. ⚡However, it's not always a bed of roses. Sometimes, an internal promotion can create tension among co-workers and may limit the influx of fresh ideas that an external hire could bring. So, while an internal promotion can streamline processes and enhance engagement, it's important to consider potential drawbacks. It's all about finding balance - embrace the challenge! 🌈
