This has been an amazing project to watch come to life. Linked below, is a blog post I wrote for Historic Charleston Foundation that highlights the incredible work of the architects at Sottile & Sottile, the development team at Greystar and LS3P ASSOCIATES LTD., and most importantly the amazing faculty and students at American College of the Building Arts for making this project come to life with their hands. I'd love to see some healthy discourse in the comments on what you think about this project. Is this scale of development appropriate in Charleston? Does having a building of this scale executed at such a high level of design excellence justify developments of this size? What could be done differently? What is your favorite/least favorite aspect of the project? https://lnkd.in/etfY8K-N

Wonderful! Addition to the question: We are particularly interested in suggestions for extensions to the canon that forward issues of surface, colour in space, atmosphere; material, physical and everyday practices, as much as non-western (incl. Eastern European) and *contemporary* manifestos. #interiortheory
Question: What‘s a must-read design manifesto worth sharing, from all-time classics to recent writings? gem barton Bernhard Hopfengärtner Andreas Hachulla Adam Hudec Luke Jones Michał Sikorski Andreas Wegner Dr. Tania Lopez-Winkler Albert Fuster Jan Berger Madeleine Schwinge Melissa Ingaruca Moreno Asking for the upcoming semester where I’ll be teaching the Theory of Interior Architecture and Design course at Berlin International University alongside dear Carola Ebert! What a way to drop news. Counting on your knowledge here - help a girl out! #designtheory #futuresliteracy #historyofartanddesign #interiorarchitecture #criticaldesign

For facade lighting of Large public buildings or monuments for a designer what is more important? To illuminate all the architectural elements and use as many lights as required or to design in a way where we can compromise on illumination and design feature in order to save energy.
