8 in-person events next week in SC and NY! The seven South Carolina events will concentrate on South Carolina legislation. There are plenty of important issues to be discussed. One interesting item is a prohibition against clothing restrictions allowing owners to throw nude keg parties in the common areas without an ability for an association to stop them! With seven opportunities over 7 locations there should be an in-person session near you. At the one New York event, learn what to expect from a real case study of a major HOA fire. This fire even involved a loss of life. Fires happen and can wreak havoc, be emotional, stressful, complicated for managers and boards. You don't want to be left with no plan if the unforeseen happens to your association. Fires happen all the time, be prepared. Seattle Event Professionals and those that schedule industry events at Seattle hotels! Share this with our network! You know how I am always complaining about events pulling from the same audience all happening at the same time? There is a solution! Attached is the Seattle Events Calendar, managed by Jana Heinrichs, CERP Make sure whoever schedules events checks the calendar first (it’s a featured post in Seattle Event Professionals, located on Facebook), to ensure there are no conflicts. Once you do set a date, make a comment on the calendar and the admin will update, so others that check the calendar don't book their events on that day, especially if it's an event that is pulling the same attendees. #eventslife #eventprofs #pnwevents

By now, most have heard about the tragically disappointing ‘Willy Wonka experience’ that befell young children and their families recently… The company behind the fiasco cited technical and supplier issues as the reasons for the dismal event. Whether that’s true or not is another story, but either way, it got us thinking about event failures and cancellations in general. Cancelling an event is never a decision an organiser should take lightly, and one reason for working with professionals like us is the fact that we always have a plan B. The weather is probably our greatest adversary. But, this is the UK, we’ll still dance in drizzle. However, anything more extreme and potentially dangerous (blizzards, storms etc) means we have to revert to an alternative. Lots of our activities can be delivered indoors, anything that can't will be discussed with clients and either replaced with a different activity or rescheduled. Rest assured we'll do everything in our power to deliver a fabulous event, whatever the weather! - Low attendance: Sometimes our clients have issues with attendance levels and, while some activities will require minimum numbers, we're known for being flexible and can always tweak to accommodate fluctuations. - Whether it’s supplier issues, licensing problems or technical let-downs, working with a well-established business such as TAG means we always have an alternative option. We're well networked, have a great supply chain and we're very resourceful! All you really need to know is that we are proud of our track record of very few cancellations, as well as our excellent communication with clients that ensures everyone knows what to expect and is ready to get the best out of their event.

On Nov 1, 2017 I set out to do something "small" and it turned into something "big." I formalized what is now the Orchestrated Connecting Community I'd built over the prior 1.5 years into what I call a Purposeful Community, and 140 sold-out events later in 10 cities, this is a global community seen as an ethically and outcome-driven network of networks. On Oct 14th (evening) and Oct 15th (full day) in New York City, I'm proud to launch my first Orchestrated Conference focusing on the interaction of AI, Mental Health, Health and Wellness, Sports, Patriotism, and Community in many shapes and forms! There are many ways to hold an amazing conference, and many of my friends do an incredible job with theirs. I just want a different outcome, as I have proven with our more intimate Gatherings. I'm tired of standing in hallways to maximize the value of attending, when what I want is curated conversations with other attendees that aren't speed dating or random, but intentional. I don't want to spend 95% of my time being talked at--- I want to interact, to collaborate and to feel valued for my time. I also want to know what I'm eating before I attend, who is going, and that I have to be fully present for the day in order to be accepted to come. This isn’t a conference with some famous person speaking who draws you in but then leaves out the back door. Finally, I want the outcome of my time to be more than 2-3 hopefully positive, substantial conversations. Honestly I'd like that number to be 10+ and for this conference we're aiming for 25 each person.
