Superintendent at Norwalk Public Schools

Representation remains a key goal for Norwalk Public Schools and we value the importance of students who see themselves in their teachers. This is why, since coming to Norwalk in 2020, my team and I have prioritized educator diversity and hiring that coincides with our district initiatives and goals.

It's inspiring to hear about Norwalk Public Schools' commitment to educator diversity. When students see themselves reflected in their teachers, it not only fosters a sense of belonging but also enriches the learning environment with diverse perspectives. This initiative not only aligns with district goals but also plants the seeds for a more inclusive future, where every student feels valued and understood. Keep up the vital work of building a diverse and supportive educational community. We love doing this with the books we publish!! Bravo 👏👏👏

I have witnessed how, under your leadership, the district has truly embraced diversity and inclusion. These are not just words to use in conversation, but a commitment to offering equitable opportunities to all the students in our city. We are so lucky to have you at the helm.

¡BRAVO! For too long marginalized communities have been kept waiting for the green go light and invitation of "belonging". It's an overdue civic duty for leaders to intentionally ensure access and inclusion so that our youth, community, marginalized and diverse individuals are empowered with life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness in Becoming and fulfilling their birthright's living potential! We know better, data tells better, so lead better. Thank you, Educators! 👏
