The company’s guidelines and regulations from my perspective as an HR specialist! Setting policies within your company and advocating for these policies is essential for fostering a strong organizational structure. In the absence of the HR manager or the responsible leader, clear policies serve as vital guidelines. It is imperative that you implement these policies consistently for everyone in the organization, including yourself, to exemplify professionalism and uphold discipline.

In our occasional series introducing our committee members this month please meet Kirstin McCallum (Assoc. CIPD) Qs 1 - What do you do and where do you do it? HR Advisor at Cheshire & Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership, based in Winsford. Qs 2 - What do you get out of being a CIPD Member? Insight into policy development, ability to share key data & Labour Market Intelligence relating to employment & skills, key issues across sectors & opportunities to build connections with professionals from a wide cross section of organisations. Qs 3 - If you could write a book, what would it be about? Great question! I’d have to think about this one, I would say my life but that’s rather cliche!

I'm delighted to have completed a short course in HR Management at Oxford Home Study Center OHSC #hrmanagement #hr #hrrecruiter #hrresources #humanresources #humanresourcemanagement Human resource management is the strategic approach to nurturing and supporting employees and ensuring a positive workplace environment. Its functions vary across different businesses and industries, but typically include recruitment, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee relations. HR professionals perform many activities in the pursuit of employee well-being and organizational stability, but their responsibilities generally lie within five main areas: (a.) Recruitment and staffing – identifying talent gaps, acquiring applicants, arbitrating contracts, maintaining ethical hiring practices. (b.) Compensation and benefits – determining pay scales, approving raises, negotiating benefits packages. (c.) Training and development – onboarding new hires, making educational opportunities available (d.) Compliance and safety – monitoring legislative changes, implementing safety measures, processing workers’ compensation claims. (e.) Employee relations – resolving employee conflicts, addressing harassment or abuse allegations, working with union leaders.

Embracing diversity is not just about enriching the work environment; it's about going beyond what meets the eye. It involves making the workplace more inclusive and welcoming for each individual, fostering empathy. An inclusive workplace fuels innovation and growth, while also aiding in building stronger teams and nurturing an environment where every voice matters. #IloveHR

It’s obvious that there is a problem in the Human Resources Management at the moment, The problem is with the Quality of the persons responsible for a very critical Area in any Business, Unfortunately the majority of Human Resources persons are now working with no Guidelines or Rules therefore their actions became Unpredictable which is leading to Serious problems in the Market, Small and Simple Tasks takes Ages for no clear reason, Hiring process is not clear for the Candidates or the Hiring persons, Promotion process is not clear to anyone, Decisions are not Logic or Rational, They became more Focused on Activities or Parties and not on the Employees or their Benefits and above all a very Strange attitude while dealing with others. The service provided by Human Resources teams is questionable and must be Checked by their Superiors to be Corrected immediately, I believe a clear written process will solve the majority of the problems but the most effective solution is to take good care while Hiring someone in the Human Resources team and keep monitoring them to make sure that they are Acting like Real Humans.
