📢 WYDE Civic Engagement call for proposals – Third Round Are you a Civil Society Organisation working for and with youth? Are you interested in youth civic engagement and participation? The European Association of Local Democracy (ALDA) is looking for you! Participate in the call for proposals with your project idea! The WYDE Civic Engagement project foresees the implementation of 5 different projects called “Clusters”. Through the re-granting scheme, the cluster number 1 named “Generate Democracy: involving youth CSOs in democracy support” is dedicated to providing youth CSOs with the chance to put into practice the lessons learnt in the other clusters and undertake responsibilities over concrete actions promoting civic engagement and democracy. The overall objective of the project is to fund and implement national and transnational projects in support of youth civic engagement and participation in the decision-making processes across the Sub-Saharan Countries. Trans Votes Are Powerful. This shouldn't be a controversial statement, and it certainly shouldn't have made me do a double take. My "tiny" community? This group of people whose very existence is constantly questioned? This sub-population of LGBTQIA+ folks who experience marginalization even from our own cisgender queer siblings? Powerful? The truth of the matter is that we ARE powerful. We are small AND mighty. We are leaders, change makers, engaged citizens, compassionate advocates, caring allies. Our aim is to significantly enhance youth participation in democratic processes across Sub-Saharan countries. ### Why This Matters: With half of the world's population under 30, the future of democracy relies heavily on the active participation and engagement of youth. Our initiative is designed to empower, include, and enfranchise young individuals at all levels of democratic action, from local to global stages. ### About the Initiative: - Clustered Approach: The initiative consists of five distinct projects, with Cluster 1, "Generate Democracy," specifically designed to involve youth CSOs in supporting democracy through actionable civic engagement. - Funding and Support: Grants of up to €30,000 are available, alongside robust support mechanisms including capacity building and technical assistance to implement innovative democratic practices effectively. - Open Call for Proposals: We invite legally registered CSOs working with youth to apply.
