Don’t Self-Reject!You don’t need to be 100% qualified to apply for a role.Hiring teams often list a lot of criteria, knowing very few candidates will meet them all. Instead of focusing on what you lack, think about your unfair advantage—the unique experiences and perspectives you bring to the table.Consider what sets you apart, such as:👶 New to the industry? Bring fresh ideas and perspectives.🎓 Varied experience? You’re adaptable and can navigate different challenges.💸 Side hustles? Show your motivation and entrepreneurial spirit.👤 Strong personal brand? You have leverage and visibility.🤲 Calm under pressure? You're a natural problem-solver.Your unfair advantage is what makes you unique. If you’re unsure what yours is, ask yourself:What skills do I have? What would I do for free? What do I do differently than others? Both job seekers and hiring managers should recognize that the best work comes from motivated individuals. Most people who get hired don’t meet every requirement—they lean into their unique strengths.Consider applying for roles when you meet 75% of the job description.Have you found this to be true in your career? Turning bachelor's degree professionals from any industry into fulfilling and lucrative medical device sales, pharmaceutical sales and general medical sales representatives in 90-120 days!
Why is my company having one of its best years ever? No, it is not only because of my efforts. A huge portion of our success comes from my team. People who weren't the most experienced or didn't know much about the industry are now helping me run a high-performance program placing our students at the top medical sales companies. It wasn't because of any special recruitment process or staffing agency. I just saw potential, a soft skill package, and mentality. Dear companies, do not overcomplicate this process. Talent deserves to be hired, no matter their experience, previous jobs, or hard skills. Trust me, my company is the living proof of that statement. If you are reading this and believe the same as I do, help me share this post and let's spread this powerful message.

A single exercise to win you your dream lab position: 👞 Put yourself in their shoes 👠 Read their website. Read the advertisement. Read the project description. Read about previous candidates. Imagine you were the one choosing the ideal candidate. What skill must that candidate have? What characteristics? What would be a disqualifying factor? Why choose this candidate over someone's from a top institution? Now, list all the great arguments for yourself. Got everything? Make sure they see it. Missing something? Start building it, now, step by step, it will pay off later. Useful post? ♻️ Repost it so more students see it.

Opportunities at Raydiant #nowhiring #digitalsignage #retailmedia And, good tips from Trevor Sumner on breaking through the recruiting screen.
Going through dozens of resume screens this morning (Raydiant is hiring!). The biggest improvement I can see is adding a short description about what each company you worked at does. What does the product do? Who are the customers? Big/small? Give me some context on the work and the team! Why assume I know every company you've worked at? Why make me have to click a link, take time to figure it out on a website that's not about you when the average recruiter screen lasts seconds? PS Looking for an exciting job with a great team at a growing tech company at the center of the digital transformation of physical spaces? Hey there! I'm really glad to hear that you're interested in working with our company. While I can't write the essay for you, I can definitely give you some guidance on what to include. First, start by researching our company and understanding our values, mission, and the specific role you're applying for. This will help you tailor your essay to our company's needs and show that you're genuinely interested in joining our team. Next, highlight your relevant skills and experiences that make you a great fit for the role. Talk about your accomplishments, any relevant certifications or qualifications, and specific projects or tasks you've successfully completed in the past. Don't forget to showcase your enthusiasm and passion for the industry and our company. Explain why you're excited about the opportunity to work with us and how you can contribute to our success. Show that you're a team player, adaptable, and willing to learn and grow. Lastly, proofread your essay carefully to ensure it's free of any errors. Latina Coach | Onboarding Enthusiast | Using Mindfulness to shift into a more balanced, peaceful, and calm place in business and home | Talent Management, Onboarding, Remote Workforce, DEI
Part 1: TD;LR - You're new here. You're competent, but you're in unexplored culture and values. Listen and learn before you speak and act. "The First 90 Days" by Michael Watkins was a book given to me in my first manager role 10 years ago. The book still has key points that I remind myself each quarter such as listening and learning before speaking and acting. This act of mirroring what is occurring in the company, from ways of speaking (jargon) to a PPT deck's visuals to when to schedule a meeting instead of just sending an email are all a part of our company culture. These are learned through experience, trial and error not through a training. The first quarter of the year has passed us by, and for those who started a new job in January, their first 90 days are coming to a close. But does that mean they are fully onboarded? Does the learning stop after this point? It's a question that many employers and employees alike may be asking themselves. Stay tuned for part 2 where I talk more about when the new hire phase officially ends. What lessons did you learn in your first 90 days in a new job, role, or reorg? #linkedinlife #latinaintech #latinainbusiness #latina #latinxintech #orgdev #newhireexperience #newhire.
