Damn! One day in and my bracket is busted. March Madness is one of my favourite times of the year. There's just something about the format that makes them so exciting to watch. People love to root for the underdogs and upsets are celebrated. (BYE Kentucky…sorry, not sorry!) And this year, I think the women are going to outshine the men. Mostly because of Caitlin Clark and her pending GOAT status. The other thing I love to see, the commercials that come out. Honestly, I think they are even better than some of the SuperBowl commercials. As an added bonus, this year because of their NIL deals, we are getting a fresh new set of commercials featuring college stars like Caitlin alongside legendary actors, and Hall Of Fame athletes. And since I'm such a marketing nerd, I have to share some with you all. Full Disclosure: I do not represent or endorse any of these brands in any way. I’m just a fan of their advertsing campaigns! I talk about Edupreneur.ing: Where Former Educator Founders can build a legendary educational business 🧙🏼♂️🔮 Friend to Ruckus Makers 🏴☠️✌️ 3x Best Selling Author 📚 TOP 0.5% Podcast Host🎙️🌍👀
Remember that time you got sucker-punched by a new district policy? Or when little Timmy's mom ambushed you at the PTA meeting (and all over social media)? Yeah, I've been there. A few years ago, I had to scrap an entire National Junior Honor Society plan because the area superintendent decided we needed to focus on... letting less kids into the NJHS even though they qualified (crazy, I know). Here's the thing: As Ruckus Makers, we're not just educators. We're human piñatas. But unlike piñatas, we don't break. We bounce. That's what I call Adaptive Resilience. It's not just about getting back up – it's about getting back up smarter, stronger, and maybe with a new hairstyle. (What? Change can be fun!) So, how do we cultivate this superpower? Here are three quick tips: 1. Embrace the suck. Yeah, it hurts. Feel it. Then ask yourself: "What can I learn from this?" 2. Find your Ruckus Maker squad. Surround yourself with other education rebels who get it. 3. Practice the "pivot and smile." When life throws you lemons, make a lemon meringue pie. And then smash it in the face of adversity. (Metaphorically, of course. We're professionals here.) Want to dive deeper into building your Adaptive Resilience muscles? I've got just the thing. It’s called The Ruckus Maker Club and we’re accepting founding members for a limited time. Comment #RuckusMaker and I'll send you a special invite link to join the party.

FivePoint introduced the first of what is now eight communities in Great Park Neighborhoods 10 years ago with the promise that “life will be different here.” It’s more than just a slogan. It’s a goal and daily challenge to create a place with distinctive style and personality. One that’s lively and imaginative, with a few surprises and delights along the way. Beyond the creation of new streets and structures, residents and visitors tell us they feel a strong sense of community, opportunity and connection at GPN... something different than what they once knew before. As FivePoint continues to invite the community to celebrate GPN’s 10th anniversary, it’s been fun to find collaborators who share that vision and have an interest in creating a uniquely DIFFERENT kind of experience -- both for Great Park Neighborhoods residents and the surrounding community. In the spirit of a modern-day speakeasy, the Irvine location of Left Coast Brewing Co. (located a stone's throw from GPN) has introduced a special “life will be different here” blonde ale this month into its collection of craft brews. If you know to ask for it and tell them Great Park Neighborhoods sent you, you’ll get a free collectible 10th anniversary pint glass. And food/drink discounts (shh… it’ll be our secret). But for those who don't know to ask for it, we're hearing the name is piquing curiosity, inspiring taste tests, and creating conversation. So... please stop by to raise a glass and say CHEERS TO 10 YEARS… and celebrate the beauty that comes with being different. Details: https://lnkd.in/g2NzC5rR

This is an example of why it’s so important to be ready for these moments. When you’ve suddenly got all this added attention, what do you want people to know about your brand? How will you keep them or bring them back to your space? Not everyone gets a Super Bowl halftime show, but there are other peaks that’ll come along — maybe it’s a March Madness run, a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade appearance, or just a really newsworthy story. By anticipating these moments, you can be prepared to leverage them in a way that builds and strengthens your brand. Don’t waste the opportunity.
