My favorite part about going from the power tool industry to the rental equipment industry: becoming certified and/or trained to operate the equipment myself. 👷🏻♀️🚜🦺🇺🇸 Being able to operate a backhoe, dozer, forklift, telehandler, scissor lift, and more, are things I never thought I’d not only learn to do…but also ENJOY. Shout out to the Sacramento Branch Manager, Yard Crew, Mechanics, Parts Manager, and Service Manager for helping me get up to speed. I feel even more empowered and ready for action than I did before. Here’s to more challenges, learning curves, and accomplishments coming my way. PS: Don’t ya’ll worry; I was safely parked, seatbelt on, backhoe turned off, AND PPE on deck, before using my phone to take a photo with the equipment! #SafetyFirst 😜 #WomenInConstruction #ForkLiftCertified #TelehandlerCertified #Construction #California #RentalEquipment #Safety #Challenges #NewBeginnings #PPE #Safety #CareerMove #Excited #JobOpportunity #NextChapter #CareerSuccess #ProfessionalDevelopment #PersonalGrowth #CareerGoals #EarthMovingEquipment #DirtyHandsCleanMoney

Chief Operating Officer | Fractional Operations Manager | Online Business Manager | Project Manager | Business Consultant |
How does a mechanic turn out to be a Fractional Operations Manager? Yes, you read that right a mechanic. My first job out of high school was as a mechanic. I was the only female mechanic in my year at TAFE, I had to work twice as hard as the gents. But I was also one of the luckiest. Lucky because It took me 50 interviews and rejections before I found a great boss willing to give a girl a go. While the others knocked me back because of it. This gave me insane resilience. What did I learn? I learnt to ask a lot of questions and why was this important? Because working on cars you need to be great at asking questions to find the issue people are having with their cars to diagnose the fault. The car making some noise wasn’t enough to distinguish where to look. You needed specifics where when how long, hot cold etc This was one thing I excelled at diagnostics. Problem-solving and putting puzzles together was my favourite part of being a mechanic. This is where I started to develop my skills of asking the right questions. It's why I ask so many today. Each question shows me another puzzle piece. This career led me into different industries and I often became the fixer wherever I went. The original plan was to use my trade to join the fire brigade. It didn’t quite pan out that way Instead, I became a corporate firefighter. When shit broke or was on fire I was one of the ones to run towards it and fix it. So now as a Fractional Operations Manager I hold the hose and put out those fires, find where they started, ask the right questions and fix the issue that caused it in the first place. This is why Businesses work with me. I don’t just put out the spot fires for the owner, I fix the cause. Then keep it all running smoothly while helping you grow.

Heavy Duty Hauling: What You Need To Know There are many occasions when a business may require heavy-duty hauling, such as when large equipment is needed for a particular job. Here, we will describe the basics of this type of transportation. First, let's discuss what is meant by the label "heavy". Any vehicle or piece of equipment weighing over 5,000 pounds is typically considered a candidate for heavy-duty hauling. Here, the technician is required to load, secure, and correctly transport a vehicle while maintaining its safety and the safety of others on the road. In circumstances where the equipment being transported is in excess of 10,000 pounds, the operator will need advanced training and certification to remain compliant with local regulations. These loads are typically moved on a flatbed to ensure a successful move. Some states require transporters to obtain a permit prior to the move, but this varies from state to state, leaving this responsibility on the shoulders of the towing and transport company. We offer heavy-duty hauling services in Smyrna and the surrounding areas. Call to schedule a heavy-duty move with a reliable towing and transport company that has earned the respect of the community. #HeavyDutyHauling #SmyrnaTowingAndTransport
