NOVA Construction Services’ Post

🎇Did you know that 34 Gramercy Park was the very first co-op in New York City? This iconic red-bricked structure dates back to the Gilded Age, built in 1883. Even until today, 34 Gramercy Park proudly retains its status as a co-op with a storied history that includes a long list of famous tenants. Perhaps most interestingly, 34 Gramercy Park East overlooks Gramercy Park, one of only 2 private parks in all of New York City. 🏞In 1966, the Landmarks Preservation Commission recognized the historical significance of Gramercy Park, presenting it with the prestigious title of Historic District. Given the building's long history, extensive repairs and meticulous restoration work have been necessary to preserve it and ensure it stands strong for generations to come. Our incredible team at NOVA Construction Services has had the chance to work on 34 Gramercy Park East more than once. This time around, we are focused on masonry repairs, brownstone and terra cotta repairs, roof replacement, paint repairs, fire escape painting, slate roof replacement, façade repairs, façade brick repairs, gable dormer sheathing replacement, and west façade north turret sheathing replacement.🏗 👷♀️ 👷♂️ Project Details: Architect: Walter B.
