Women are constantly set up for failure in the diet world…. Women do all the right things when it comes to tracking food, exercising, sleeping, and managing stress but this ONE thing continues to slap us in the face… And that is our period. More specifically, PMS week. You know, the 5-14 days leading up to your period where your emotions are heightened, you are bloated and ravenous? My client Jaime was on point 100%, until her pms weeks came. The two weeks leading up to her period caused her to: -Feel insecure about her progress -Have increased episodes of binge eating -Get distracted from her workout program And every cycle, without fail, she would go through the same things!!! To help her stay on track, here’s what we did: 1️⃣ Adjusted her calories/macros to allot for increased energy needs during pms weeks. 2️⃣ Set her “weigh in” or progress updates for after her period (follicular phase) and encouraged her to NOT worry about staying “linear” in pms week. 3️⃣ Reduced processed foods & high sodium sodium foods during pms week to reduce water retention & bloating!
