So HID’s leadership have come out and said 125Khz cards are Dangerous. Yep, anyone in the professional electronic security market who knows what they are doing has been saying this for years. So why the very slow transition to something more secure? Why are so many facilities, including MASSIVE Government and Government-run facilities in Australia, especially Victoria, stubbornly resisting protecting their sites? Seriously, having 125Khz card technology active is the equivalent of having duct tape securing your doors in many cases. How much has to happen before the change will take place? Theft of a computer? Theft of cash? Theft of low-level drugs? Theft of high-level Drugs? Critical Data Loss? People's Private Data? The lone warrior terrorist meandering into critical power/water/data centres? Seriously a child can defeat this technology right now!
