🚀 Last week, Denisse Pasco, Alex Thompson Juan, and Xavier C. from our team had the incredible opportunity to attend the 1st International Symposium on Small Launch Vehicles and Spaceports organised by the UK Space Agency, European Space Agency - ESA! 🛰️ It was great to have the opportunity to speak with people from across the industry: policymakers, companies, and startups like our own. These conversations highlighted the urgent need for a responsive, reliable, and cost-effective UK-based launch service to support Europe's growing small satellite market. In these uncertain times, it is also pivotal, from a defence and security standpoint, that we have our own launch capability. 🌍 We also noticed a tremendous opportunity to increase Europe's focus on space exploration. Space exploration is at the core of Odyssey—it is the reason we exist. We hope we can change this attitude towards space exploration over the coming years as we show that it is possible from this side of the Atlantic. This week, the UK Space Agency and the European Space Agency - ESA hosted the 1st International Symposium on Small Launch Vehicles & Spaceports at the ESA Conference Centre, which saw 180 attendees from space agencies, industry, and academia on its first day. This was an opportunity for the UK Space Agency's Office of the Chief Engineer to collaborate with ESA and host a technically focused event, featuring keynotes, panels and selected paper presentations from launch service providers, spaceports, and suppliers. 🚀 Watch the highlights. 👇

Next week I'm attending the NewSpace Economy Congress in Barcelona and presenting the panel “Space as a Catalyst for Regional Cooperation” with Bärbel Deisting, representing the space cluster in Bavaria bavAIRia e.V., Maria Galindo Garcia-Delgado, Secretary for Digital Policy at the Government of Catalonia, Andrea Resca, representing the Strategic Aerospace Forum of the Emilia-Romagna Region in Italy, Roya Ayazi, Secretary General of Nereus, and a representative of the Government of Scotland. Spring Outreach Event: Our in-person outreach event in spring 2025 will kick off the year’s activities, bringing together stakeholders from across the European space sector to exchange ideas, foster partnerships, and highlight key achievements and opportunities. 2. Workshops and Engagements: Throughout the year, we will host additional workshops and engagement activities to ensure stakeholders have the tools and information to contribute meaningfully. 3. Consultations in October: This year’s consultations will take place in October, offering stakeholders a critical opportunity to contribute to the strategic priorities of the Partnership. 4.
