Somewhere in this video by Stanford Mussallem Center for Biodesign, I was featured saying, Innovation is not magic, but innovation is magical. But before we touch base on what I said and what I meant, here's what others said; You don't have to be a genius to innovate for a healthcare solution. Ritu Kamal I would never have seen myself as a founder of companies, a Professor at Stanford, and an Executive at Edwards Life Sciences. That was all a result of the Biodesign fellowship. Todd Brinton, MD Being intentional in making sure that innovations lift all boats and not just some. Uday Kumar, MD For any project to take flight, we really want to consider a diversity of funding that allows innovators to reach their goals. Cyan Brown, MD, MPH The recent technology explosion has made technology accessible to founders. Michael Ackermann, PHD Tech innovation in healthcare is just plain hard. Mike Mussallem Looking forward to the new chapter for stanford biodesign.
“We believe in the center’s mission, leadership, students, and fellows. With more resources enabling an even broader scope and vision, we know they will multiply their impact. There is so much more that can be done for patients worldwide.” ― Linda and Mike Mussallem. Thanks to a generous gift from the Linda and Mike Mussallem Foundation, we’re embarking on an exciting new chapter. Take a look at our history and what's coming! When a once-useful process stops delivering results, it can be tempting to abandon it altogether. But before you throw in the towel, consider reevaluating and refining it. A process often needs a fresh perspective or some tweaks to regain effectiveness. https://bit.ly/3TJsH6a #fieldlink #ProcessImprovement #Leadership

The most important leadership lesson one can learn is to be humble and acknowledge that having a management title does not automatically make you a leader. The effectiveness of a leader is determined by the quality of their team and their willingness to follow. An effective leader empowers their team to be active participants in decision-making and utilizes the strengths of their individual team members to maximize results.
