**Unlocking the Potential of Poultry Waste in the Circular Economy** Innovative research from the National Institute has demonstrated a groundbreaking advancement in sustainability: extracting proteins from poultry waste. This technique not only helps in waste management but also contributes significantly to the circular economy by repurposing by-products into valuable resources. Leveraging these proteins from poultry processing not only reduces environmental impact but also maximizes resource efficiency. This transformative approach exemplifies how industries can shift towards more sustainable and eco-friendly practices, aligning with global goals to reduce waste and benefit the economy. Join the conversation on sustainability and waste management. How do you think different industries can implement circular economy principles to minimize waste and boost efficiency? #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #WasteManagement #Innovation #EcoFriendly #ResourceEfficiency

What about packaging? Yes, there are plenty of packaging items (without added PFAS of course) that are not only compostable, they can also serve as valuable feedstock items as well as aides in behaviour change to increase volumes of food scraps diverted from landfill. A recent audit of ACT bins showed considerable volumes of packaged food in red lidded bins. If it's too difficult to get people to scrape out take away containers then why not ensure a robust value chain that captures value from both the packaging as well as the food residue? #organicsrecycling Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO) Australasian Bioplastics Association
[NEW REPORT] As more policies encourage food waste recovery, and composting infrastructure evolves to accept more food waste––and increasingly, certified food-contact compostable packaging––a crucial question remains: how effectively does compostable packaging actually break down in commercial composting facilities? The Composting Consortium, led by Closed Loop Partners' Center for the Circular Economy, tackled this data gap with a groundbreaking study, analyzing the disintegration of over 23,000 units of compostable packaging in an 18-month study. Our newly published report replaces anecdotes with insights, sharing data on the realities of compostable packaging disintegration and identifying the optimal composting conditions that support it. If there is one area with mass confusion related to sustainable packaging, its compostable packaging. This report below is super important to bust mythology about breakdown of different materials - and there are plenty of surprises in the results. Our team has a lot of work on its plate to forge a path of compostable packaging as just one in a suite of packaging solutions to reduce single use waste, but its a critical baseline for decision making. Check out the findings here👇🏾.

🌍 On International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, we’re reminded of the staggering reality: nearly one-third of food produced globally is lost or wasted each year. And that waste is also responsible for 8-10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. At ADAR Technologies, we’re committed to driving solutions that reduce this impact, improve sustainability, and protect our planet. With our cutting-edge ADS technology, we’re transforming how agricultural waste is managed by harnessing kinetic energy to dry, pulverize, and sanitize waste. This not only minimizes waste but also creates opportunities for reuse in eco-friendly ways. Together, we can help make every harvest count. Let’s continue innovating for a greener, waste-free future! 🌱 #FoodLoss #WasteReduction #Sustainability #EcoTech #ADARTechnologies #FLWDay
