We are committed to high ethical standards and business conduct, which includes not tolerating any fraud, for example, fraudulent financial reporting or misappropriation of assets.     We recently introduced a new Global Novartis Anti-Fraud Policy, which is embedded in our Code of Ethics, to provide an overview of how we prevent, detect, and respond to the risk of fraud through respective control activities, policies, and procedures and to clarify the responsibilities of every employee.     Did you know that fraud can impact our reputation, cause financial loss, trust with society, and/or deliver medicines to patients? Organizations with robust compliance and ethics programs reduce the risk of misconduct, improve reputational perspectives, build customer loyalty, and significantly decrease potential legal penalties associated with non-compliance. During this week, we have shined our spotlight on how we should be reinforcing employees’ understanding of compliance. Organizations should be proactive in fostering open lines of communication where employees feel safe to report unethical behavior or express any compliance concerns. To the compliance and ethics professionals who serve as the backbone in creating and maintaining compliant and ethical organizations, this week is also an appreciation of your often unsung work. Exciting day at the DigiCare4You - A Horizon 2020 Project consortium meeting at Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy. 🚀 Dusan Pavlovic from Privanova delivered a comprehensive presentation on our progress. As the leader of Work Package 3 focusing on ethics and legal compliance, Privanova provided insights into our recent achievements and future plans. Highlights include the update of our Data Management Plan, coordination of the Ethics Advisory Board, and support for compliance efforts.
