Reflecting on the Hungarian Society of Cardiology's 2024 Scientific Congress, held May 8-11 in beautiful Balatonfüred, we can't help but appreciate the wealth of knowledge shared and the commitment to advancing heart health in Hungary. A particularly powerful segment of the conference was the Novartis-sponsored panel discussion on Atherosclerosis and Heart Failure, moderated by none other than the esteemed Professor Béla Merkely. His expert guidance throughout the discussion ensured that complex but important topics were handled with skill and that all participants benefited from the rich insights shared. This year is particularly important for cardiovascular health policy. The Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the second half of this year has pledged to initiate legislation on cardiovascular health plans at the EU level, underscoring the region's collective commitment to addressing heart health issues. It is a real privilege for Novartis to be part of this journey. Kudos to all the brilliant minds, especially those of our panelists and participants, for their efforts in advancing cardiac care. Particular thanks go to our own remarkable cardiovascular team at Novartis. Their dedication and tireless efforts have had an immense impact on the progress we've made. #Cardiology #MKTConference #EUPresidency #CVHealthPolicy

We're pleased to have participated in the 43rd annual congress of the BELGIAN SOCIETY OF CARDIOLOGY, the largest cardiology event in Belgium. This congress was a great opportunity for our Cardiovascular Team to connect and exchange with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to reimagine the approach of tackling cardiovascular diseases together. For years, thanks to the enormous advances in research and medicine, science and medical innovation have transformed the treatment pathways, quality of life and have even saved the lives of many people living with a cardiovascular disease. Working together to tackle life-impacting diseases and silent killers like atherosclerosis is critical. That’s our commitment at Novartis Belux. We are determined, not only to advance in R&D and find treatments that can increasingly improve the lives of people, but also to reimagine cardiovascular care thanks to collaboration with all stakeholders in the health ecosystem. Only together can we achieve better patient outcomes so that people with cardiovascular diseases do not have to give up on their plans and dreams. #NovartisTogether #CVD #ASCVD #HealthierFuture #HeartHealth

Vic Gatto shares everything about his #hearthealth journey. Because he advocated for next level testing, he and his doctors put Vic in the best position to live a long life. Yes, the access and ability to afford good care plays a significant role. Every patient journey is different. But if you don’t start with advocating for your health by staying on a regular schedule of preventative screening and testing, you have the potential of being on a harder path to survival following a difficult diagnosis. Get your regular #mammogram, do #selfbreast exams, get your #colonoscopy. Pay for a calcium scan of your heart which costs $50-100 out of pocket. Ask for the better cholesterol testing. Advocate for your health. Be informed about what’s available. Listen to this podcast. It might save your life too. Early detection leads to better #patient #outcomes. #prevention #advocacy #testing
