Novelis’ plant in Uhrichsville, OH has been recognized by World Economic Forum as a Sustainability Lighthouse within its Global Lighthouse Network. We’re proud and honored to share that Novelis is the first-ever, US-based aluminum manufacturer to join this prestigious group of industry leaders. Only five organizations are designated as Sustainability Lighthouses for use of advanced solutions to reduce environmental impact --specifically industry-leading reductions in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions and advancements promoting a circular economy. Novelis’ Uhrichsville plant reached an industry-leading 97% recycled content for its 3105 alloy, which is used primarily in specialties products that serve the building & construction market. With Uhrichsville’s focus on circularity, recycling, scrap segregation, melting, casting and rolling technologies, innovative procurement strategies and IT solutions, it is also GreenCircle Certified, which is third-party verification of our sustainability claims. This recognition demonstrates the focused efforts of Novelis North America to achieve 3x30, the company’s global vision to advance aluminum as the material of choice with circular solutions. The urgency to #reduce waste, #decarbonize industries, and mitigate #climatechange has never been greater. https://lnkd.in/eHiWzmfv #ShapingASustainableWorldTogether #aluminum #sustainablemanufacturing #Vision3x30 #circulareconomy
