The kids’ books for teaching healthy boundaries ♥️ This collection covers the power of YES and NO, honoring others’ personal preferences, communicating our physical boundaries, needing private time and space, and sharing (or not sharing) our personal posessions. Note that while I’ve loosly grouped books based on these topics, there is tons of overlap! Most of these titles address multiple topics within this list. https://lnkd.in/ggkhKsjP

For those of who read my most recent book HILLEL and the PAPER MENSCHIES, co-written and illustrated by Marc Lumer, here's what you need to know. While Hillel and the Paper Menschies is an inspirational children's picture/comic book for a younger set of readers, Short but Lived is written in novel form and is for an older set--teens, young adults, and everybody else. This is Banned Books Week! Also known as Anti-Fascism Week. "Banned Books Week was launched in 1982 in response to a sudden surge in the number of challenges to books in libraries, bookstores, and schools. Typically (but not always) held during the last week of September, the annual event highlights the value of free and open access to information and brings together the entire book community — librarians, educators, authors, publishers, booksellers, and readers of all types — in shared support of the freedom to seek and to express ideas. Read one of these books, Huck Finn, Howl, Captain Underpants, etc., this week!"
