Happy Friday everyone! Thought I'd end the week on a personal note and share this video from Ramsey Solutions. For the last 7 years, my husband and I have been involved with Financial Peace University, as participants and as leaders. As participants, we learned better ways of managing our money and our lives have been forever changed by what we learned. So much so, that before we took the class, we had NO vision of retirement - ever - in our lives, but now, retirement is in view. And it's looking really fun! Because of the changes we made that affected us so greatly, we decided to start leading our own Financial Peace University classes in 2018 at our church, and we've coordinated two classes a year ever since. From our many participants over the years, we've been told that several marriages have been saved, people have gotten out of crushing debts, and everyone has started LIVING instead of working to pay other people. How amazing! We'll be leading our 12th class this April and while it's an in-person class in the Milwaukee area, FPU classes exist everywhere. We feel blessed to be connected to Ramsey Solutions. They do remarkable things for so many and we hope to help others more as we continue on this righteous path, too. The principals of Financial Peace University have not only shaped our financial lives, but our relationships, our careers, our spiritual lives, and our vision. It's been truly remarkable to walk through the transformation. ⁉️⁉️Given the choice between hiring a candidate with a bachelor's degree and no experience or a candidate with 7 to 15 years of experience but no degree, which would you prefer? I've noticed that many companies are strict about requiring a degree, even if the candidate has no real-world experience. On the other hand, they often pass over highly qualified candidates who have extensive practical experience but no formal degree. This isn't to criticize those with degrees or those without; I'm just curious about your thoughts on this. How do you balance the value of formal education against practical, hands-on experience when making hiring decisions?
