You may have seen my colleague, Sam McMillan's post yesterday highlighting some companies that we at Influx Search think are driving innovation within the #waterindustry.
Following that, I'm taking a deep-dive into #UVDisinfection companies, with our first company in the spotlight being AquiSense Technologies.
They offer cutting-edge solutions for disinfecting water, air and surfaces. Their UV-C LEDs are mercury-free, energy-efficient and highly durable, making them safer and more environmentally friendly than traditional mercury-based systems. By delivering targeted disinfection with flexible applications, AquiSense's technology is ideal for industries like healthcare, water treatment, and space exploration. That's right, space exploration! Did you know they sent a system to the ISS recently?! What makes this impressive is the combination of instant on/off functionality, compact design and versatility in deployment which significantly improves pathogen control and safety in diverse environments. Oliver Lawal and the team are doing some really exciting things.
Next up it's Dutch business, VGE B.V. lead by Arjan van der Spank. Their innovative Smart Pin Technology (SPT) and Single-end Bayonet Technology (SBT) allow for safe, efficient maintenance, even whilst systems remain operational. Serving over 70 countries, VGE is recognized for its expertise in industries like horticulture, aquaculture, and healthcare.
Moving across the Atlantic, it's Crystal IS up next. Part of Asahi Kasei and headed up by Eoin Connolly, their innovative technology, based on aluminium nitride, has applications across various industries, with a large focus on residential and consumer water disinfection systems. What sets Crystal IS apart is their commitment to sustainability and support of non profits in areas like Kenya and the Ukraine where water disinfection is needed most.
Finally, we have CrayoNano, a cutting-edge semiconductor company specializing in UV-C LED technology. Their nanomaterials-based LEDs are designed for sustainable and efficient disinfection of water, air, and surfaces. What makes CrayoNano impressive is their innovation in high-performance UV-C solutions that reduce environmental impact while enhancing public health. Their products, such as the CrayoLED™, are energy-efficient, compact, and powerful, making them ideal for various applications in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This commitment to sustainable disinfection positions them as leaders in next-gen photonics. Excited to see what's next from Thomas Dobbertin and the rest of the team!

2moSo proud of this building. I was walking from the Baar train station yesterday and could see the logo on the top of the building from across the highway. It was a great feeling! Thank you to the entire team that made this possible.
