#snsinstitutions #snsdesignthinkers #snsdesignthinking DIWALI Diwali is a festival that symbolizes the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. It is also known as the Festival of Lights It is celebrated by lighting oil lamps, called diyas, and decorating homes with colorful rangoli. People also exchange gifts and sweets, and worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha. Diwali commemorates the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating the demon king Ravana. Diwali is a five-day festival that usually takes place in October or November. It begins with Dhanteras, when people buy gold and silver. Choti Diwali is celebrated one day before Diwali Diwali is a time for forgiveness and strengthening relationships. It also marks the beginning of the New Year for many cultures in India. Diwali celebrations vary across different parts of India. For example, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, over 2.5 million lamps are illuminated during Diwali. In recent years, there has been a decrease in the use of fireworks due to air and noise pollution, as well as safety concerns

The Diwali festival week is finally over. A good week of festivities, laughter, togetherness and cracker fun… Last year Diwali generated a business of ₹3.75 Lacs Crore which is expected to increase to ₹4.25 Lacs Crore this year, according to CAIT. I remember when I started my professional journey with an appliances manufacturing giant, we had 2 major events in the company - 1. Summer season 2. Diwali season These were the 2 events where production had to be increased to meet the demand. This means more raw material required (more business for SME suppliers), more man hours required, more deliveries and eventually more sales… Festivals are very important as they help many businesses at multiple levels by encouraging more spending. #Diwali

Diwali isn’t just about lighting lamps in our homes. It’s a reminder to light up the darkest parts of ourselves. Just like we clean out every corner of our house for Diwali, Maybe it’s time we clear out our minds, too. Because the negatives we avoid, the doubts, the fears, the grudges, They hold us back more than we realize. In the same way, we put effort into decorating our homes, Imagine if we put that effort into our hearts and minds. This Diwali, let’s go beyond just lighting lamps. Let’s light up our thoughts, clear away what weighs us down, And use those inner “negatives” as fuel to grow. What’s one negative you’re ready to face and transform this Diwali? #Diwali2024

This Diwali, let’s embrace the power of minimalism******MEANINGFUL CHOICES By choosing “simplicity “ over excess, we can celebrate meaningfully while also protecting our planet. Here’s how: Light Wisely: Opt for a few well-placed, eco-friendly lights instead of an overload of high-energy ones. Let quality, not quantity, be your guide. Eco-Friendly Décor: Choose natural, reusable decorations that add charm without adding waste. Handmade lanterns or clay diyas can create beauty that’s gentle on the Earth. Limit Firecrackers: Consider reducing or skipping firecrackers. This small step reduces air and noise pollution, creating a more peaceful and breathable environment for everyone. Minimalism isn't just about less—it's about meaningful choices. Let’s celebrate Diwali in a way that shines light on what truly matters. Wishing you all a safe, eco-friendly, and beautiful Diwali! 🪔

✨ Get ready to sparkle, #Toronto! Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is just around the corner! If you’re planning to light up the night with fireworks, remember that safety comes first. Here’s a quick checklist to help everyone celebrate safely: 📜 Get a Permit: Wherever you are in Toronto, a permit is required to set off fireworks for Diwali. 🕚 Know the Curfew: Fireworks are allowed on your private property until 11 PM, and only those 18+ can handle them. 📍 Choose a Safe Spot: Not every location is fireworks-friendly! Fireworks are not allowed in parks, on beaches, streets, parking lots, balconies, or on private property that isn’t yours. If you’re celebrating at home, make sure your yard is clear of buildings or trees and that there’s plenty of space for spectators. 🔥 Dispose Safely: When the festivities end, don’t forget proper disposal. Soak used or unused fireworks in water overnight before placing them in the garbage. Remember, fireworks should never go in the blue bin! Be mindful of your surroundings, avoid setting off fireworks where they could be a nuisance, and let’s make it a safe and sparkling Diwali for everyone! 🎆 #BrianMcIntyreRealEstate #Diwali #FestivalOfLights
