These 4 key agreements changed my life. And they’re entirely within my control. 1. Don't take anything personally: ↳ Understand that others' actions reflect them, not you. 2. Don't make assumptions: ↳ Communicate clearly to avoid misunderstandings. 3. Be impeccable with your word: ↳ Speak with integrity and truth, both out loud and in your mind. 4. Always do your best: ↳ Your best will vary from moment to moment, and that's okay. “The Four Agreements” book is a decade-long game changer. In just 138 pages, Don Miguel Ruiz offers timeless wisdom. A few months ago, I met my nephew for lunch. He brought up reading it, prompting me to revisit the book. Re-reading it shifted how I approach life and leadership. When I’m feeling stuck, I run through the agreements. And over 80% of the time, I find my answers there. They are now a cornerstone of my executive coaching practice. They help clients conquer their self-limiting beliefs through self-awareness. Ask yourself: - Where do I get lost in thoughts that don’t serve me well? - Am I taking others' actions personally and assuming intent? - How can I focus more on consistency and learning over perfection?
