Identifying the visitor's persona and showing them what they might be interested in is one key aspect of delivering a personalized user experience. This demo showcase how users are shown tailored content based on their interest. We are currently using a straightforward algorithm that tracks past activities to identify what the user might be interested and show relevant messages. #personalization #visitorpersona

I understand that many in the UX community are in a difficult place, and I want to express a few things. First, these thoughts are my own and I am not representing the UXPA or any UX organizations or people in those organizations. My thoughts are from my stance of being an active member of the UX community, current UXPA conference co-chair, past UXPA board member and President, past UXPA-DC President, and friend. Second, I would like to remind my colleagues that organizations, like UXPA, are 100% run by volunteers. Our colleagues and friends volunteer their time to create and provide resources to us, the community. They and we run on these boards because we love to build relationships and we care enough about our industry to volunteer our time to create and share resources. For the community. Third, we all make mistakes. Our friends on boards may make mistakes. I think what’s important when we make mistakes is that we learn from them. And we change. We grow. To make mistakes, learn, correct, and grow is human and has a positive outcome. Everyone wins. I know that our friends on the UXPA board are working on some changes. Fourth, if you are interested in making a positive change and having influence in this field, I encourage you to join boards, like the UXPA. Join conference committees, host meetups, be a mentor. We are a small community and, unlike in others, your voice here matters. Clearly! So keep it up. Don’t stop voicing, and also start (or keep!) doing. Last and certainly not least, I am co-chairing the 2024 UXPA conference with Adrienne Guillory, MBA. We have a lot of fun things in store for the community, and I hope to see you all there.
