Since our inception, and much before Corporate Social Responsibility became mandatory, our founders have firmly believed that businesses have a responsibility to society at large. Under the leadership of Kushal Desai, the Chairman and Managing Director of APAR Industries, Rs. 4.15 crore has been allocated towards the installation of solar panels at the Dharmsinh Desai University (DDU) last financial year. This initiative aims to reduce DDU’s carbon footprint and promote renewable energy practices, aligning with APAR’s vision for a more environmentally conscious future. In 2023-24, DDU proudly celebrated its NAAC Accredited Grade A status for academic excellence and marks a milestone collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organisation that spans 25 years, undertaking impactful sponsored research projects. DDU emphasizes its commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and research across all faculties, while fostering partnerships with industries and government bodies to enhance knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship. Together, we are crafting a legacy that transcends boundaries and inspires future generations! #APARIndustries #AcademicExcellence #GreenInitiative #RenewableEnergy #CSR

Bhutan’s Future in Green & Sustainable Development: Insights from Nobel Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov At today’s Bhutan Innovation Forum, I had the privilege of learning from Nobel Laureate physicist Sir Konstantin Novoselov, who shed light on graphene technology and hydrogen energy—two innovations that could play a pivotal role in Bhutan’s path towards sustainability. Graphene as a Game-Changer for Data Centers: Graphene, a revolutionary material with extraordinary electrical and thermal properties, holds immense potential for data chip applications. Sir Novoselov emphasized how graphene-based chips could transform Bhutan’s data centers by drastically reducing power consumption while improving performance. This would not only support our digital transformation but also align with our national goals of energy efficiency and sustainable development. Hydrogen Technologies for Clean Energy: Sir Novoselov also advocated for exploring hydrogen technologies as a cleaner, more efficient power source. Leveraging hydrogen can significantly reduce pollution and improve energy efficiency, further contributing to Bhutan’s mission of creating a greener, more sustainable future. With these cutting-edge technologies, Bhutan has the unique opportunity to lead in green innovation while addressing our growing digital and energy needs. Exciting times ahead! A big thank you to the Bhutan Innovation Forum for the opportunity to listen and learn from Nobel Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov himself. Truly inspiring! #Sustainability #Graphene #HydrogenTechnology #Bhutan #DigitalTransformation #EnergyEfficiency #RenewableEnergy #GreenDevelopment

So yet, another delayed but exciting update! 🥈 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝗨𝗽𝘀 at 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗜𝗧 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝟭𝟯.𝟬 🥈 I'm thrilled to announce that our team secured the 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝘂𝗽 position in the 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 at Inter IIT Tech Meet 13.0, organized by the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay! To begin with, I'd like to thank my teammates, Sparsh Vyas, Ria B., and Pranjal Upadhyay, for giving their 100% throughout this challenge. This win was even more special since it was the first time IIT Delhi participated in the Inter IIT Tech Meet. The challenge involved establishing the groundwork for India's 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, a largely unexplored area with significant prospects. Presented by Insolation Energy (INA), we were tasked with predicting waste generation until 2050, developing innovative recycling methodologies, suggesting policies, establishing a logistic network, and conducting a thorough cost-benefit analysis. I won't bore you with the details, but here is a broad overview of our solution:- We developed three different approaches to estimate the waste generated accurately. We proposed the FRELP method and some modifications as an appropriate recycling method. To consider the Indian context, we sought out a three-tiered logistics network. A 10-year policy framework was proposed to manage the rising solar waste crisis. A huge thanks to Harsh and Ashish for their support throughout the competition and for providing a seamless experience to the whole contingent. Overall the experience was highly enriching and tbh nerve-wracking. It was a race against time, as there were a lot of deliverables and relatively less time. Although we got a podium finish, the level of competition and preparedness of other IITs was riveting. I got to know and learn a lot about an exciting field. Hopefully, we contributed something meaningful throughout this journey. Kudos to everyone who participated and presented their novel thoughts on the topic!! Lastly, thanks for bearing with me until now! #InterIIT #TechMeet #sustainability #SolarPanelRecycling #IITD #EnergyConsultancy
