As we transition into fall, deer are more active, especially during dawn and dusk. With that in mind, it’s important to be extra vigilant on the roads throughout the season. Here are some tips to keep you safe: 1️⃣ Drive slowly, and stay alert. Reduce your speed, especially in rural and wooded areas. 2️⃣ Always scan the shoulders for deer. At night, watch for the reflection of deer eyes in your headlights. 3️⃣ If driving at dawn or dusk, use your high beams when appropriate to increase visibility. 4️⃣ It may be tempting, but try to avoid swerving. If a deer appears, it's much safer to immediately brake and hit the deer than to swerve and risk a more serious accident. 5️⃣ Keep an eye out for more deer. Where there’s one, there are usually more. If you have an incident with a deer and need guidance on filing a claim, we are always here to help. Stay safe and drive carefully this season. #NoyceInsurance #FallDrivingSafety #DeerAwareness #RoadSafetyTips #AutumnRoadSafety

🍂 Fall Prep Tips for Your Home Exterior 🍂 As the leaves start to change and cooler weather approaches, now’s the perfect time to prepare your home for fall! Here are some essential tips to protect the exterior of your home as we transition into the new season: 1. Clean the Gutters - Clear out leaves and debris to prevent clogs. Blocked gutters can lead to water damage and foundation issues when the rain comes. 2. Inspect the Roof - Look for loose or damaged shingles and get them repaired before heavy rains or snow. A sturdy roof is essential to avoid leaks. 3. Check Windows and Doors - Ensure windows and doors are properly sealed to prevent drafts and keep energy bills low. Consider adding weatherstripping where needed. 4. Trim Trees and Shrubs - Prune overhanging branches that could fall and damage your home or power lines during storms. 5. Drain and Store Garden Hoses - Drain outdoor faucets and hoses to avoid freezing and cracking during colder weather. Store hoses properly to extend their life. 6. Inspect the Foundation - Look for any cracks or gaps in your home's foundation and seal them to prevent water intrusion and pests from entering. 7. Check Outdoor Lighting - Make sure all exterior lighting is functional for the shorter days. Replace bulbs and consider motion-sensor lights for added security. 8. Protect Outdoor Furniture - Clean and store patio furniture to protect it from the elements or invest in weatherproof covers. 9. Prep Your Lawn - Aerate and fertilize your lawn to keep it healthy through the winter. Don’t forget to rake up leaves to prevent mold growth. 10. Clean Chimneys and Fireplaces - If you have a chimney, have it professionally cleaned and inspected before lighting any fall or winter fires to ensure safety. Prepping your home for fall can save you from costly repairs and keep your home safe and cozy all season long! 🍁🏡 #NoyceInsurance #FallHomePrep #HomeMaintenance #GutterCleaning #RoofInspection #ExteriorSafety #SeasonalTips #FallReady #HomeCare
