NT Working Women's Centre’s Post

Today marks the end of the 16 days of Activism against gender-based violence. It is also International Human Rights Day! Women’s Rights are Human Rights! This includes the right to be free of discrimination, physical, sexual and psychological harm, threats, coercion, deprivation of liberty, and the right to enjoy the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health; to be educated; to own property; to vote; and to earn equal pay for equal work. This year’s theme for Human Rights Day is 'Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now,' which highlights the impact of human rights on people's lives every day. What we do today can also shape tomorrow! You can read more in the below report- an oldie but still very relevant. https://lnkd.in/gYS6Awzh
