#ICYMI On August 27, USTDA’s partners in Côte d’Ivoire hosted a workshop with trucking industry representatives from across the region. The workshop was hosted as part of a USTDA-funded feasibility study and pilot project to reduce traffic congestion and improve cargo flows around the Port of Abidjan, one of the region’s major economic hubs. USTDA’s grant to Côte d’Ivoire’s Ministry of Transport is supporting the development of a truck parking and logistics center using digital technologies from Virginia-based NTELX, Inc. The workshop’s aim was to educate the trucking community about NTELX’s system and their approach to rolling out the system across the country. The workshop’s objective was also to continue to strengthen the community and stakeholders surrounding the port system and to learn more about the challenges of the trucking community. The training follows Director Ebong’s visit and tour of the Port of Abidjan earlier this year. Prosper Africa
