World Energy Council India (WEC India) organized a workshop on Energy Data and Policy Training in association with the International Energy Agency (IEA) from 18th to 20th June, 2024 at PMI, Noida. Shri Gurdeep Singh, CMD, NTPC & Secretary General (WEC, India) delivered the keynote address during which he emphasized the importance of capacity building interventions in energy data on an ongoing basis. Mr Tim Gould, Chief Economist, IEA addressed the participants through a video message. Around 50 professionals from 21 entities with representation from various Ministries, Government bodies and Energy Sector majors across the value chain attended the workshop. The faculty from the IEA, led by Dr Roberta Quadrelli, Head of Data and Indicators for Energy Transition along with Mr Steve Gervais, Head of Energy Security Data and Mr Thomas Spencer, Energy System Modeller conducted the workshop. In addition, speakers from NITI Aayog, Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MOSPI), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and Petroleum Planning Analysis Cell (PPAC) and Central Electricity Authority (CEA) complemented the content. #PoweringProgressResponsibly #NTPC #energy
