CFSST Plant is a patented CSIR-NEERI technology for treating faecal sludge and septage.

Another international research collaboration between EcoHydroInformatics Research Group(EHIRG) and the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, Odisha, India, has been completed successfully. 🌊 Reliable Water Quality Models for Better Water Management & Pollution Control 🌍 Effective water management and pollution control hinge on reliable water quality models. Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) are key indicators of water quality, but daily monitoring can be challenging due to the laborious and costly nature of conventional testing. 🚀 Introducing the Autoencoder-Deep-Autoregressive (AE-DeepAR) model—a novel approach designed to predict BOD and DO concentrations using in-situ measurable water quality parameters. This method, implemented in the Mahanadi River system, leverages a latent space to capture nonlinear data and uses DeepAR for precise point predictions. 🔍 Key Findings: Conductivity, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Turbidity, and Ammoniacal Nitrogen correlate with BOD. Turbidity, Temperature, and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) correlate with DO. The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved key policies to enhance the state’s technological infrastructure. The new Data Centre Policy aims to generate an extra 200 megawatts of data and attract investments for advanced data centers featuring Artificial Intelligence (AI). Additionally, the Semiconductor and Display Fab policy will be in effect from 2024 to 2029, offering a phased subsidy of 50% from the Centre and 30% from the state government. Minister Parthasarathi emphasized that these policies are intended to position Andhra Pradesh as a competitive destination for semiconductor companies, akin to those in Gujarat, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. The Cabinet also approved a draft bill to replace the AP Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Act-1982 with the Land Grabbing (Prohibition) Bill-2024, introducing stringent penalties and compensation measures for land grabbers while safeguarding government land, modeled after laws from other states. The Cabinet revived the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) and established the Pithapuram Area Development Authority (PADA). Additionally, it authorized the construction of an 189-km outer ring road to connect expressways, economic corridors, and various transport hubs. The proposal to include Sattenapalli Municipality and numerous villages in Palnadu and Bapatla districts under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) was also approved. #Semiconductors #India https://lnkd.in/gNWQG2tz

Thanks to my Ph.D scholar, Senthil Kumar Rajendran and SRMIST, Kattankulathur, Chennai ,Tamil Nadu. This research delves into passive radiative cooling, exploring its efficacy in India's diverse climatic regions. We've developed a comprehensive map to aid in energy-efficient cooling strategies aligned with the Indian Cooling Action Plan (ICAP) 2019 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Our findings reveal significant potential, with most areas posing a cooling potential between 60 and 140 W/m2.
