Harriman faculty member Alexander Cooley co-authored an article, “Trump’s Antiliberal Order: How America First Undercuts America’s Advantage” in Foreign Affairs. Together with Daniel Nexon, Cooley writes that Donald Trump’s “presidency will not end the so-called liberal international order, for the simple reason that it has already ended.” The authors argue that “many aspects of contemporary international order- principles and practices such as state sovereignty, the rule of law, and multilateralism … are perfectly compatible with some nonliberal and illiberal forms of politics.” Read more about it here: https://ow.ly/CKgM50UQymU

We are excited to see our special issue on "Empire and Radical International Thought" out with South Atlantic Quarterly. It was a pleasure to collaborate with Begüm Adalet as guest-editors of this issue. This special issue brings together political theorists and international relations scholars and examines the multifaceted dimensions (including political, ideological, and psycho-affective) of a radical international thought. Going beyond articulations of anti-colonial struggle at the national level, the issue charts radical theories and praxes of insurgency and revolutionary violence and brings an internationalist framework to bear on various historical moments. https://lnkd.in/gMpcwBHN
