Director of Energy Services - North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council

Have you registered yet? The 2024 Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium, hosted by the North Shore Mi'kmaq Tribal Council in partnership with the Port of/de Belledune, is two months (and a few days away), and the excitement is growing! From September 18 to 20, 2024 at the Fredericton Convention Centre, we will welcome 200+ leaders from First Nation communities including elders and youth, utilities, government, and industry for conversation and collaboration focused on advancing Indigenous leadership and participation in the Energy Sector, for the betterment of the sector as a whole. This year, we will shine a light on Indigenous-led projects that are defining the energy landscape in Atlantic Canada, and dive deeper into emerging opportunities on the near-term horizon. We also will introduce discussions framed around energy as a resource that connects regional, national, and international communities, while championing Indigenous youth, businesses, and community partners. Our Keynotes, Panels and Workshops will cover a wide range of topics, including: - Energy Leadership: Case Studies of Indigenous-Led Projects and Initiatives in the Atlantic Energy Sector - Indigenous Business Opportunities in the Energy Transition - Building Capacity: Aligning with Employment Opportunities in the Energy Transition - Indigenous-Led Project Development, Financing and Structuring - Attracting Foreign Direct Investments - Energy as a Uniting Bond: How Energy Connects Regional, National and International Communities - Indigenous Youth – The Next Generation of Energy Leaders Please click the link below and head over to the Symposium web page if you: - Are looking for more information or to check out highlights of previous events - Are interested in registering as a participant (this event will sell out - act now!) - Wish to contribute to the discussions by responding to our Call for Speakers (closing soon!), or - Are interested in becoming a sponsor or reserving a space at our Industry Tradeshow https://lnkd.in/gu9b_EDk Finally, if you own/operate an Indigenous Business working in/around the energy sector, or if you are an Indigenous young professional working in the energy economy, or you have worked on an Indigenous-led energy development project/initiative in Atlantic Canada, we would love to connect with you: drop us a line at energy@nsmtc.ca. Looking forward to welcoming you to the 2024 Atlantic Indigenous-Led Energy Symposium in September! #nsmtcenergy #2024AILES
