Twenty-five years ago, a newspaper job ad led Barb Werner, MSN, RN, to Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) in Berks County, Pennsylvania. As one of the first NFP nurse supervisors, Barb has played a key role in the program's growth, which now serves 72% of the state. Alongside veteran NFP nurse Rhonda Yates, BSN, RN, they’ve tackled challenges like healthcare inequality and childcare barriers, steadfastly supporting first-time parents. Their dedication and advocacy have made a lasting difference in countless lives.
