Solar Energy Industries Association is right. 2024 isn't the best year for solar. But I believe 2025 is going to be great for midsized solar companies that can weather the storm. Here's why: The cracks in the business models of national residential installers are starting to show. Titan Solar went out of business because they were being wildly irresponsible and lying to customers, and before they did, they had LESS THAN 2 out of 5 stars on SolarReviews. But they're not alone. Go read the reviews of the country's largest solar companies on Solar Reviews. Not one of them is meeting customer expectations the way that local, established, mid-sized installers are. The future belongs to anyone with a history of building great systems and servicing them when things go wrong. Honesty, transparency, and reliability are the only brand that works in solar long-term.

Congratulations to Tim Painter of Smart energi! Your project was our final winner of this competition! This project was well designed and installed to a high standard, making it a great one to finish on! You will now get the cost of this system back! Here is the feedback from Tim: "We are proud to highlight our successful Solar PV Project at Holiday Inn Express, Chester Racecourse, where we strategically chose the Esdec FlatFix Fusion mounting solution. Our decision was guided by several key factors aimed at optimising energy production and ensuring project success. Given the constraints of limited roof space, our design focused on maximising energy yield. The Esdec FlatFix Fusion system emerged as the ideal solution, enabling us to install a greater number of modules on the roof and achieve maximum energy generation. The East/West orientation of the system played a pivotal role in reducing shading effects. This configuration minimises the likelihood of neighbouring rows of panels casting shadows on each other, a notable advantage compared to traditional south-facing systems. Aesthetic considerations are always paramount in our decision-making process. The sleek design and low profile of the FlatFix Fusion system aligned exceptionally well with our aesthetic requirements for the Holiday Inn Express project. The modular and adjustable nature of the FlatFix system facilitated a seamless and efficient installation process. This not only contributed to a faster project completion lowering installation cost but demonstrates the system's practicality and ease of integration. Additionally, the choice of the Esdec FlatFix Fusion mounting solution was influenced by its durability and reliability. The system's resistance to various environmental conditions, including wind and snow, combined with its overall robustness, plays a crucial role in ensuring the longevity and performance of the solar PV installation. In summary, our selection of the Esdec FlatFix Fusion mounting solution for the Holiday Inn Express project reflects a comprehensive approach, considering energy optimisation, shading reduction, aesthetic alignment, ease of installation, and the system's durability. We are confident that these considerations will contribute to the long-term success and sustainability of the solar PV system at Chester Racecourse." Thank you for using Esdec and your detailed feedback! Look forward to supporting you on your next project. Pictures of this project in comments below. #clickfiteveryday #solar
☀️ 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿! ☀️ Until the end of 2023, Esdec has given back the costs of a project's mounting system to one person every week. The final winners are 𝗧𝗼𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝘄𝗲 from Power Different and 𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 from Smart energi. Both solar professionals installed 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗙𝗶𝘅 𝗙𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and by using Esdec’s mounting systems, they took care of a safe, quick and high-quality installation.
