For this year's celebration, it will be a little more comfortable... 🤩 One hundred years after the first season, the Welttheater Einsiedeln will be staged as an open-air theater for the 17th time in 2024. For the 100th anniversary, there will be covered grandstands for the audience for the first time. These are currently being erected by our crew members in front of the baroque monastery church ⛪ 🛠️. They are nimble. Every move is perfect, and the grandstands are growing day by day, as you can see in the following video 😊 #eventstructures #eventbau #temporarysolutions #eventsolution #buildingbigmoments #buildingmemories #sustainability #connectingyou

"Where would we end up if everyone could do whatever they wanted?" – But perhaps this is precisely the key – to self-awareness, further development and overcoming personal problems. In our new episode, we get to know Mohammad & Hussein Eliraqui and the ACT e.V. | Führe Regie über dein Leben theater group. Here, young people work together to develop plays based on the "veto principle" on topics that are hot on their minds. The rule of thumb here is that everyone can do (or not do) what they want – within a certain framework. This approach encourages personal responsibility and self-reflection on the part of the participants. The results are fascinating, sometimes provocative and sometimes moving. For this episode, we accompanied the group working on their new piece "A safe haven" („Zuflucht“). See for yourself. 🌟 One question I get a lot is: how do you choose your shows? 🌟 As with most projects, there's no one single way a theatre production is born. But for me, everything starts with the text. If the text excites me in some way, it goes onto my Dream List. It might not happen immediately, but it’s there, waiting for the right moment. But a great text alone isn't enough. We need the Golden Triangle: a stellar script, a director whose vision aligns perfectly with the piece, and a suitable venue. Without these three elements, a production simply can't happen. And, of course, there's always the financial puzzle - a fantastic play with a large cast might have to wait due to budget constraints. Smaller works with fewer actors are often less risky and easier to produce. So, I’m curious - what piece of drama would YOU like to see produced? Drop your suggestions below. Who knows, one day I might come knocking at your door, asking you to join us in bringing it to life. 😉 #Theatre #Brussels #Drama #Community #TheBridgeTheatre
Ollie and Jill want to tell you about their dream home. Some of the things they did to get it might shock you. But they want you to know they did it all for their baby... Get to know our new original production - Radiant Vermin by Philip Ridley and directed by André Agius is a wickedly comic satire which explores gentrification, homelessness and consumerism, about a young couple offered a way out of the housing crisis, and just how far they’re prepared to go for it. A hilarious and outrageous black comedy from internationally acclaimed 'master of modern myth’ (Guardian) Philip Ridley. Playful, provocative and viciously sharp, Radiant Vermin is a meditation on how far we will go to satisfy our materialistic greed. 📆 5-23 November 📍La Tricoterie - Rue Théodore Verhaegen 158, 1060 Brussels Subscribe to our newsletter to be one of the first to find out when tickets go on sale: https://lnkd.in/eYPFnbYk #RadiantVerminBrussels #Connection #TheBridgeTheatreBrussels #ConnectingThroughCulture #BrusselsCulture #WeLoveBrussels #PerformingArts #Theatre #Brussels #Brussel #Bruxelles #Bxl #EventsBrussels

"The way forward is through collaboration," The Wilma Theater's Leigh Goldenberg says. The Wilma's Evolving Futures grant from the Center will allow it to do just that: forge new partnerships and mount new co-productions, while cost-sharing and co-marketing. The theater's focus on collaboration is display in its production of “The Comeuppance” (on stage through Dec. 8), a co-production with Washington, DC’s Wooly Mammoth Theater. In our productions the actors on stage become a mirror reflecting the human experience and the stories unfolding can often be the awakening of something dormant within ourselves. "Theatre can make us believe, not just in something 'out there', but predominantly in something 'in there', inside of each and every one of us." Theatre has always been more than just a performance; it's a communion of souls, a shared exploration of the human condition. As the characters come to life, you will not be merely spectators, but active participants in the unfolding drama. Through their triumphs and tribulations, joys and sorrows, we catch glimpses of our own struggles and victories mirrored in their stories. Each performance is a mirror held up to our own lives, inviting us to confront our fears, embrace our vulnerabilities, and celebrate our strengths. In the hushed moments of revelation, we find echoes of our own innermost thoughts, fears, and desires reverberating through the theatre walls. For in the sacred space between the stage and the audience lies the power to believe—not just in something 'out there', but predominantly in something 'in there', inside each and every one of us. #TheatreLife #ActorsLife #StageReflections #TheatreMagic #EmbraceVulnerability #CelebratingStrengths #TheatreInspiringChange
