As the final main stage panel at the GS1 Connect conference last week, our focus on AI felt like an optimistic future for the implied challenge set out by the first main stage panel - how do we fix the broken and leaking product data pipes? GS1 standards have been the cornerstone of supply chain efficiency for 50 years. While there is still progress to be made, the robust foundation laid by GS1 US, combined with the ongoing efforts of brands, distributors, and retailers to enhance systems and processes, gives me confidence we can collaborate our way to a more efficient - and less leaky - supply chain.
