From the very beginning, my mission & food philosophy has been to create the highest quality dairy free cheeses that taste amazing. I set out to craft cheese that was so delicious, it’s not about what you can eat, it’s what you want to eat. 🧀🌱 Our commitment to being a certified organic company is to make foods that make people feel good; and make foods in a way that you can feel good about. For us that means intentional sourcing that’s better for people and for the planet. When we eat foods that make us feel good, we can do good and thrive! 💞🌱🌎 That’s why we’ve been committed to organic certification and sourcing since day 1! Our sustainability focus goes beyond just organic and we are committed to actions that help move us collectively forward with positivity and joy. ✨

Organic, locally grown, cage-free, pasture-raised. We've all seen these labels at grocery stores but how do we actually know that the food we're buying will do the most good for people and the planet? Initiatives supported by The Rockefeller Foundation like the Good Food Purchasing Program and Anchors in Action, are calling for suppliers to be transparent about their supply chain and purchasing data. Read more from Food Director Noah Cohen-Cline on how these projects are shifting food purchasing systems. https://lnkd.in/gYaWeRUj

As a striving food startup company, we are beginning to explore how we can change the way we make food not only assessable to anyone anywhere, but also healthy and filling. Our game plan as a startup is to strive in simplicity in terms of making our food not only taste good without any harmful chemicals and fillers that does not benefit the human body. In order to achieve this, we will commit to using as much organic and locally sourced products as we can to make the food taste fresher and better as well as make it look appealing without the usage of harmful, complex chemicals that many people do not really know about or unhealthy to the human body. Also as a company that strives to make exceptional products, we will also utilize “Product Proliferation” according to the article “Simplicity-Minded Management” by Ron Ashkenas in order to provide vast amounts of variety to keep our customers engaged in not only eating healthy, but also enjoying different things as we know that eating the same things over and over again will cause dissatisfaction to our customer base which we will never allow as a company. In addition to this, we also know that quality is one of our main priorities when it comes to being a food company prioritizing in delicious yet sustainable and healthy foods. So, we have come up with a new lineup to how we will manufacture and make our meals. Rather than use one sector that produces all of the components for our meals, we have done something known as “portfolio operating groups” according to Ashkenas which will allow each employee to be in distinct groups allowing them to prioritize making the things that we assign like proteins, starches, and sauces. By doing it this way, we are not only prioritizing quality as each employee can specialize in what they are among and make it taste good, but it will also maximize efficiency and speed in order to mass produce our products that is good quality, fresh, and healthy without the use of filler or any harmful chemicals. Finally, we are committed to using sustainable packaging sourced from recycled materials in order to further shift towards sustainability since it is a major concern that we have in modern society with all the plastic being in our oceans as well as emissions causing global warming. I can’t wait to see how our products will hold up to our customers and we will strive to benefit society in healthier, cleaner, and confident eating.

Would you eat food containing upcycled ingredients? Chances are, you already have. Throughout the food industry, upcycling is the newest, and most popular, measure toward tackling sustainability concerns. The only real concern stopping its mass adoption is the price it takes to produce foods with these ingredients – a concern that can be addressed as companies scale up the practice and steadily learn new ways of production. #Upcycling #FoodAndDrink #Innovation

What do people think about upcycled foods? When we consider the consumer or expectation is that they will love this messaging and it gives them a reason to buy the upcycled product over the another. But we see that actually consumers are not sure on this messaging and see upcycled as an inferior product which they should pay less for. Will Gen Z change this? An interesting survey from Whole Foods found 55% were willing to pay more for environmentally sustainable products. This means that our old excuses that its not worth the effort or no one will pay for sustainability seem to be running out. We need to adapt in order to gain favour with this generation. Upcycling, more sustainable ingredient sourcing, reduction of waste and using more whole ingredients must be a priority going forward! With AI, the industry can, ⏳ Spend less time digging through piles of paperwork. 📊 Speed through inspections and audits. 🍃 Encourage more businesses to make the switch to organics. … and building tech for the greater good means it feels good, doesn’t it? By the way, we will be at Collision from June 18th to 20, and you can find us at booth A648 on June 18th. Let's connect! #CollisionConf #TechForTheGreaterGood #EmpoweringAI
The organic food business model is a fantastic example of #sustainability in action. It covers all the bases: 💝 Providing access to healthy foods (social) 🍃 Mitigating climate change and protecting natural resources (environmental) 💰 Supporting rural economic resilience (economic) Despite the high demand for organic foods, there's always a struggle to meet supply. The main culprit? The grueling process of obtaining organic certification. In fact, a study by UC Davis revealed that 20% of farmers drop out of the certification process due to the daunting workflow. The paperwork and transitional period are significant roadblocks. We need to simplify data collection and record-keeping to glorify the organic process. Technology should empower businesses, right? We created ηoryX with three goals in mind: 1. Minimal learning curve. 2. Minimal time investment. 3. Streamlined paperwork process. And the early results are exciting: + Users get the hang of ηoryX with just two simple pages. + Completing the workflow takes less than 40 seconds. + Our AI-powered automation slashes the time needed for audit/inspection readiness from weeks to minutes. Pretty cool for the sustainability-focused organic food industry, isn't it? Come check out our product at #CollisionConf on June 18th. Visit us at booth A648. We're excited to discuss ηoryX with you!

Food sustainability needs more good vibes! Real people are taking meaningful action every day. Real brands & real organizations are changing entire systems. That’s amazing! Take a minute to see the good – it’s happening! Let me give you four examples. Too Good To Go Restaurants often toss out food at the end of a shift. Too Good To Go sells that food at a discount in surprise bags. This makes restaurant-quality food more affordable. This also makes small businesses more profitable. And this prevents TONS of food waste & emissions. Voyage Foods Some of our favorite foods have big environmental impacts. Foods like chocolate & coffee also often have labor issues. Voyage Foods make cocoa-free chocolate & bean-free coffee. Their chocolate reduces GHGs by ~80% & blue water by 99%. It’s sustainable, ethical, accessible, affordable, and tasty food. The Bluapple Company One of the biggest barriers to eating fresh food is perishability. Fruits & veggies are often forgotten in the produce drawer. As these foods ripen, they release ethylene gas. Bluapple captures ethylene gas, helping fresh food last longer. So people eat more fruit & veggies, waste less, and save more $. Simple Mills 60% of worldwide food energy intake comes from just 3 plants: Corn, wheat, and rice. The first two are annuals. Simple Mills celebrates purposeful ingredients. And perennials. Arrowroot pancakes & cassava crackers both feature perennials. Regenerative practices are baked into their products. Literally. Your turn! 1) Who inspires you? 2) Why? What are they doing? How are they doing it? 3) Know someone who can help someone else? Make an intro! Be the change. Spread the love. Good vibes only. #food #sustainability #innovation
