Great article! I would add to the Plan phase getting your senior leadership engaged now. This is going to require commitment and action by many functions across the business, especially IT and Warehousing. FSQA should be coordinators and checkers, not the do-ers, of this system once implemented

🍇 Wine Australia Welcomes New Board Members as Sector Faces Critical Challenges 🍷 As of 1 October, five new non-executive directors have joined Wine Australia’s board, appointed by the Albanese Government after an extensive selection process. The new appointees—Dr Angeline Achariya, Roslyn Baker, Andrew Kay, Elizabeth Riley, and Peta Slack-Smith—will serve alongside Chair Dr Michele Allan AO for a three-year term. Minister for Agriculture, Julie Collins, emphasised the collective expertise of the new board, noting their capacity to drive profitability, resilience, and sustainability in Australia's wine sector. 🌱 Australian Grape & Wine, which appointed the independent selection committee, expressed confidence in the new board's ability to guide the sector through its current challenges. CEO Lee McLean highlighted the importance of collaboration between Wine Australia and the industry body to ensure the success of the recently launched One Grape & Wine Sector Plan. With six urgent priorities outlined for completion by June 2024, the new board members are expected to play a critical role in steering the sector forward. 🚀 The incoming board will also be responsible for the 2025 Wine Australia strategic plan, which seeks to address commercial, technical, and environmental challenges. That's what we're doing for the next incentive in Emilia Romagna. We’re taking the group to see the best Italian cheese factory. A visit to the Parmigiano Reggiano factory is an excellent example of maintaining excellence.  It shows top performance while changing and adapting to conditions.  For example, this cheese factory decided to convert to organic production to give better living conditions to the cows, even though it meant sacrificing some of its output. Quality over quantity, just like in the ideal workspace! This is the message managers and employees will take home with them from this activity.
