Nuveen, a TIAA company reposted this
It’s a pleasure to share this Barron's Q&A, written by the talented Amey Stone. The piece profiles my longtime friend and colleague, Daniel Close, CFA who leads Nuveen, a TIAA company’s Muni platform. There are so many fun nuggets that I enjoyed reading, including a nod to the summers of Dan’s youth, which he spent lugging golf clubs around the course while picking up career tips and a fascination with the bond market as a golf caddy. I’m happy to say that his incredible work ethic still shines through today! As we approach a potential slowdown in the U.S. economy, we’re seeing more non-traditional buyers looking to the municipal asset class as an attractive alternative to treasuries or corporates. To read Dan’s outlook and see some examples of how he thinks about specific credits, check out the article here: https://lnkd.in/gS-mHrvv [Past performance is no guarantee of future results. That's cool that Dan's story connects golf with finance. Seems like he's got some serious insights on the market too Saira Malik
Thank you for sharing this insightful article and highlighting key elements. I remember learning some cool things when I worked very briefly on a golf course myself! Boy, that was fun. 🎈 So many opportunities to learn.
Amazing stuff Saira Malik! Thank you for sharing! Happy Saturday!

2moI just finished my Sunday morning ritual of reading Barron's and thoroughly enjoyed the interview. Like many others, I see (interest) rates falling while other rates (taxes) will likely be going up. Thus, I'm looking at munis as an intriguing parking spot for cash as I'm sure many others are as well. Thanks for posting the article Saira Malik
