Here’s how you relate dieting to a relval trade or value investing 📈📉📊 When dieting, we want to maximize the “bang for our buck” when it comes to calories. Nothing CREATES MORE VALUE in this trade than lean protein and “low energy density” fiber choices. Think lots of grilled chicken, lean fish & meat, low/no fat dairy, egg whites etc on the protein side. Pair that with lots of fruits, vegetables and high volume, fiber filled snacks like popcorn… And you found a magical combination of putting a lot of food into your mouth for very few calories. This strategy will keep you fuller for longer, and feeling less like you’re depriving yourself on a daily basis. In order to lose weight, you must eat less and or move more. That science. Modernisation: An effect on our diet (PART 1) Our native ways of preparing certain meals still remains of the best. Nowadays, we feel our method of cooking will make our food tastier which indirectly eliminate the nutrients the body is meant to absorb after digestion. Take a look at our old method of preparing beans for example, our mother as we were taught, after the beans is thoroughly cooked, salt, pepper and palm oil is then added but now, we cook our beans separately and later go through the stress of frying stew (oil dripping on it right) If we look at these two methods, we know the best and yes! The later doesn't mean it will be tastier than the former. Another example is moinmoin, those days it was cooked using moinmoin leaves, what do we use now? We use pouches, nylon and some unhealthy options. The moinmoin leaves alone has a thing it does. This isn't even about poverty, it's about getting our nutrients the best way. I want to give more examples of these methods but I wouldn't want this too long for you to read, perhaps in my next post. The more we look into our indigenous method of preparing certain meals, the more we appreciate it and go back to it.
