NYC Citywide Administrative Services’ Post

NYC is leading by example and working hard to #GetShedsDown ⚖️ As part of the Get Sheds Down initiative, NYC Citywide Administrative Services has transformed the Queens Courthouse by swapping out the old, clunky sidewalk shed with sleek safety netting. Say goodbye to the eyesore and hello to unobstructed views and the bright sunshine! Longstanding sidewalk sheds can be a nuisance, obstructing views and blocking sunlight, but they do offer critical pedestrian protection and often cannot be removed without potentially compromising safety. That’s why Get Sheds down seeks to not only remove unnecessary sheds, but also replace them where possible with less obtrusive, more visually appealing designs that offer the same protection.

But what about the one at the Department of Health on Junction Bld. and 34th Rd.? That's been up about 10 years.
