I am running for City Council to bring people together to solve our common challenges. I’ll be a champion for neighborhoods and help Mayor Mahan complete his Back to Basics plan to make San José safe, clean and vibrant for every neighbor. What does that look like? Here’s where I’ll start: Tackling the homelessness crisis with proven solutions, like building affordable modular housing where it makes sense and providing mental health services. Making our neighborhoods safe by hiring more police officers, while embracing evidence-based crime-reduction strategies, like job training and drug treatment. Fostering economic development and opportunity by revitalizing neighborhood business districts and stimulating high wage job creation.

Unconventional thinking is often blocked by those who cannot understand a new idea or who fear the unknown. But unconventional thinking is what is needed when conventional thinking has not solved the problem. Hire leaders who have a track record of listening to their teams and bringing innovation to their organization.
This open hiring policy is working to relieve local people suffering from homelessness and social exclusion. Learn more about the trends shaping the world of work: https://ow.ly/YkNq50QarVT Greyston

Candidate for First Ward GR City Commission. Life & Leadership Coach & Consultant. Communicator & Content Creator.
This seems like a real problem & serious safety issue!! Certainly, a neighborhood concern that should be addressed somehow. As candidate for #FirstWard #GR City Commission, I find it unacceptable that residents don’t feel like their worries and insights are heard and responded to! I would have to learn more about what the city or commission could do to help here on this traffic safety situation but it does seem like something could and should be done if there is a problematic pattern. On this Next Door post, I have suggested reaching out to our two sitting commissioners and asking them for help or guidance. If a community meeting is held on this, maybe they would attend. I sure would — even now!! (So please invite me.) Also, follow me here or on Facebook https://lnkd.in/gkHVQ7sM AND visit https://lnkd.in/gbhtR3sW to connect. I will listen AND respond as your commissioner! 💯 _____ Original Post: ATTENTION NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!! — Nextdoor - Nextdoor https://lnkd.in/gjPXtcm5
