After demoing the Sorry™ platform to a potential customer, I explained that a large part of building a status page is how you structure it, which is incredibly important to managing incidents. Here are a few tips on how to structure a status page: 🕵️ Get together with your teams, such as engineering, operations, and, most importantly, customer support. 📖 Use names of services, products or parts of the infrastructure that your customers will understand. For example, web-lon-1a could be Web Server - London. ℹ️ Enhance the user experience by making use of tooltips and descriptions. These tools can help indicate what the component is; for example, Web Builder = Where you manage your website builder (app.website.com). 📋Group, group, group! Bundle components together to keep the main page clean. If your product is in regions, consider using groups like EMEA and the US. 📑Do you have multiple brands or products? Consider using Component Pages, a unique feature of Sorry™. Component pages are individual pages within your main status page, with their own history, metrics, and more.
