Three years ago, we did an in-person bootcamp for a client of ours in New Jersey. The night that we arrived, I decided to run to the gas station around 11 pm, and as I was walking past Dom’s room guess what he was doing? He was role playing! For those of you who don’t know Dom, this man has been living and breathing our sales methodology for over a decade; I mean, he could recite the entire Grosso University Sales Bible verbatim. Yet, here he is, role-playing by himself at 11 pm in a hotel room… The point being, school is never out for the closer. If you have the mindset that training is a set-and-forget type of thing, you’re wrong. You can’t take a position that has a notoriously high turnover rate and very little oversight once they start running leads and expect that they are out there doing things by the book because I promise you, they are not.
