I always think it is best to look at the actual role you are applying for! 🤗 Applying for a £60k Cleint Manager role in Practice when you have spent 20 years' working as a clinical scientist may not work. 🤔 I'm all for changing career path with the right motivation and sacrifice ( and I will try to help) but Could it be... 😮 You have not looked at the role and just pressed SEND 😮 No explanation, no covering note and just a random C.V. 😀 If I can see a reason why you have applied and there is some effort, then I will always try to help. 😡 Sending you C.V randomly to 100 different (and clearly not relevant jobs) and hoping that something sticks is not always the best policy.

In a recent conversation with Joe Monroe, Chief of Police at the University of Kentucky, he shared some invaluable insights into essential skills for law enforcement candidates heading into 2024. Joe emphasized the importance of customer service and communication skills. He noted, "The next-gen officer has to be focused on customer service. They need to know how to communicate and talk with people. Today's recruits often lack proficient writing skills because they mostly communicate through social media, using their own language of words, terminologies, and emojis." 🌟 One aha moment from Joe's approach was his innovative interview technique. Instead of sticking to standard police questions, Joe asks candidates about their passions and then challenges them to teach him about it. "I encourage them to go to a whiteboard and outline how they would teach me about their passion. This makes them think critically and quickly, showing me their ability to make snap decisions," Joe explained. This method has proven effective in identifying recruits who can handle high-pressure situations, a crucial skill for law enforcement officers.
