💡 As we age, the number and function of stem cells in our bodies decrease, leading to a reduced capacity for tissue repair and regeneration. This decline in stem cell function contributes to the development of age-related diseases and the overall aging process. 🔎 Researchers are exploring the use of stem cell therapies to combat age-related degeneration by replenishing and revitalizing the body’s dwindling stem cell reservoirs. These therapies aim to harness the regenerative properties of stem cells to reverse or slow down the effects of aging on various tissues and organs. #alomac #betteraloe
How do our #stemcells help fight aging? And how does our age affect our stem cells & their ability to repair? I got to give a talk at BiohackingCongress Miami a few months ago diving stem cell science & what we've been doing at Stemregen. This piece of the talk highlights how our biological age both affects and is affected by the number of stem cells in our body. Those with fewer circulating stem cells compared to their peers are more likely to develop disease as they age. AND, we naturally release fewer stem cells as we get older. Let's dive into this conundrum in the video below. Please let me know what questions you have...and you can learn more about age & stem cells on our website: https://lnkd.in/gBx5WAF9

🆕 We are more than happy to welcome to our Institute Dr. Vincenzo Calvanese, a well-recognized and consolidated researcher on #StemCell biology. Dr. Calvanese will lead the new “Blood Stem Cell Identity” group. They will try to understand which molecular features and regulatory processes identify a #BloodStemCell, a fundamental knowledge to advance in many areas, like haematopoietic stem cell transplant, one of the few successful clinical applications of stem cells today. Calvanese and his team join forces with IJC in the fight against #leukaemia 💪 Know more about his research in this article ⬇ https://lnkd.in/eWS9BR2n

Learn how to improve your health and finances with a simple patch that stimulates your Stem Cells. See ways to bring extra income from the comfort of your home.
Learn how to turn your life and health around. Stem cells are a catalyst for health and youth; however, their levels radically decline over time. Research suggests that by the age of 70, stem cell number and activity are nearly zero. This means that, as we age, our bodies have more difficulty responding to and repairing conditions or damage previously handled with ease. https://lnkd.in/en4RACBH

“One of the hardest things to accept was knowing I’d never be the same” Dan Yeates had no idea how much life might change after a stem cell transplant. Although it could save your life, a stem cell transplant can also leave people with significant side effects that have a major impact on their quality of life. We don’t think this is good enough. We want people to survive, and thrive, after a transplant. That’s why we’ve launched the UK’s largest study to understand the quality of life impacts of a stem cell transplant. We’ll use the findings to help create and campaign for new policies and support systems to make sure patients are getting the support they need after a transplant.
