The Channel Meet Up in the UK gave us and the other delegates a lot to think about! A key takeaway? Vendors need to dig deeper. They need to assess their partners more thoroughly to align programs and stay relevant. It's not just about ticking boxes - vendors need to understand their partners' strengths, weaknesses, and goals. They need to align their programs and campaigns with these insights. And guess what? It's not as daunting as it sounds. In fact, it can be quite exciting. Imagine truly understanding your partners. Imagine creating programs that not only align with their needs, but arming them with campaigns that drive demand and push them to achieve their full potential. Imagine staying relevant, no matter what the market throws at you. That's the power of deep assessments. So, vendors, it's time to roll up your sleeves and dig deeper. So, to stay relevant. Stay ahead. If you want to be involved in all of the discussions and Q&As at the next event in Boston, follow the link below: https://lnkd.in/e6nz_GJb

It's not too late to register for the 16th Anniversary Reverse Trade Show! One of the remarkable aspects of the Reverse Trade Show concept is its innovative approach. As a vendor, all you need to do is arrive equipped with business cards and brochures for networking. Each agency will have a designated procurement professional (or multiple professionals in some cases) stationed at their table. This unique setup places you directly in front of the Purchasing department representatives from various government agencies, offering you valuable insights into how to engage in business with their organizations and understand better what opportunities are available for you to bid on. Please visit the full attendee directory here: https://lnkd.in/d2fwZxkm Registration is available here: https://lnkd.in/dhgCU99d #ReverseTradeShow #CGCC #NIGP #vendorlist #governmentcontracting #PurchasingExcellence #PensacolaFL #smallbusiness #publicprocurement

1 day to Procurex National! We will be exhibiting at Procurex, the UK's leading procurement and supply chain event, taking place tomorrow at Exhibition Centre Liverpool. We are also proud sponsors of the Social Value and Net Zero Zone which will have our own Danielle Aberg talking about how to deliver greater Social Value from Public Contracts. For the public sector: Use Thrive to manage social value requirements in procurement and during the contract management lifecycle. Use benchmarking to ‘raise the bar’ on your supply chain’s social value delivery. For suppliers: Use Thrive to forecast social value in tenders and then track the delivery of social value commitments through to contract completion. Use benchmarking to measure your progress against industries peers. If you are attending we would love to catch up. Modern Slavery - Caroline Ghost and Jade Wigmore had an amazing conversation about this at #ProcureCon Marketing in London yesterday. I just about got a word in when moderating! #Procurement must take a lead as its contribution is significant. Modern slavery is a pervasive issue affecting millions worldwide, including within our local and global supply chains. Here is what to do: 1. Conduct a Risk Assessment 📊 Identify high-risk suppliers and categories eg uniforms, taxi drivers, creative partners may be high risk - don't only focus on high-spend areas. Nothing wrong with using Excel for this! Prioritise actions based on business criticality and geographical risks. 2. Engage with Specialists 🕵️♀️ Partner with subject matter experts and/or third-party organisations for deeper insights and effective strategies. 3. Ensure Internal Sponsorship and Education 👥🎓 Secure buy-in from senior leadership. Procurement can not and should not do this alone. We don’t have the bandwidth! Provide training for stakeholders and suppliers to recognise and mitigate risks. 4. Integrate Anti-Slavery Measures into Procurement Processes 📋 Include specific requirements in the RFP process. Easier to focus on new suppliers first and then go back to incumbents. Avoid using suppliers/agencies who don't comply. Avoid tick-box compliance by ensuring thorough evaluations and regular audits. Have conversations to determine if suppliers/agencies are taking it seriously. 5. Promote Transparency and Collaboration 📢🤝 Encourage suppliers to share their modern slavery statements to test their level of commitment. Top 5 conclusions from Marketing Procurement iQ Conference Europe in London. I had the pleasure and privilege to participate and speak during the first Marketing Procurement iQ Conference Europe in London last week and below I share my Top 5 A-ha's from the event: 1. There are still (❗❗😱) media contracts out there largely untapped by Marketing Procurement teams, which causes major value leaks 📉 💰 for the advertisers. 2. It takes advertiser's strong leadership 💪 and willpower to make agencies to participate in robust media governance. 3. Good media governance is about owning ✅ , understanding ✅ and ✅ timely acting upon the media data 📊 . 4. Media governance complexity can be managed with the help of tools and third parties, but the ultimate responsibility is with 👉 the advertiser. 5. With the rise of inventory media, the agencies should be regarded as media owners and advertisers need to acknowledge the conflict of interest linked with lack of transparency. I hope the good discussions and exchanges within Marketing Procurement community will drive the positive change and increase transparency in the industry. Once again many thanks to Geoff Hall for the organization and to Nick Sparey, Hasan A. and Michal Sobieski for a great panel discussion! DM me if you need assistance with any media governance related topics- Progmatic GmbH can help! #mediagovernance, #mediabuying, #mediaplanning, #marketingprocurement, #transparency @
