As CEO of ERNA Sands, I’ve learned that some of the best business insights come from hitting the road. Driving west from Texas on a sales trip offers a unique perspective—wide open spaces, changing landscapes, and the opportunity to meet people who shape sand manufacturing industries across the region.
The long hours behind the wheel aren’t always easy, but they’re worth it. Every stop is a chance to connect with contractors, farmers, and partners who rely on us for materials like chip seal rock, concrete sand, or agricultural gypsum. These conversations build relationships that no email can replicate.
What’s most inspiring is hearing firsthand about the challenges and successes of those we serve. Each person I meet brings fresh ideas and a renewed sense of purpose to what we do at ERNA Sands.
