I understand the importance of days like today, World Children's Day. The intent is to educate, inform, and bring attention to issues regarding children, or whatever the focus of the special day is. Like I said, I understand that and appreciate the effort but more than celebrate those who do the work, I ask why is it needed?! Why do we consider a world where days like these are needed, normal? While we should always support those who work tirelessly advocating for those "less fortunate", we should all be working tirelessly against anything and anyone creating and supporting the problems in the first place. Every day should be World Children's Day. Every day should be humanity day. We shouldnt need special days for the basics.

There are so many lessons in this video!
Children who show respect for their parents and grandparents contribute to the preservation of tradition, heritage, and the timeless bond between generations. This respect reflects an appreciation for the wisdom, guidance, and love passed down through generations. By honoring their elders, children acknowledge the interconnectedness of past, present, and future, recognizing the role each generation plays in shaping #family legacy and collective identity. Moreover, this respect fosters a sense of continuity and belonging, grounding children in their roots and instilling values of #gratitude, #humility, and #empathy. It is crucial to recognize that children who #respect their elders demonstrate an understanding of the highest purpose within the great life cycle. Ultimately, cherishing and honoring those who came before them, #children embrace their role in the ongoing narrative of the human experience. Let us all instill these values in the younger generation, contributing to the preservation of #tradition and #heritage. #Respect #FamilyLegacy #Interconnectedness #Gratitude I post videos that give people a smile or happy feeling. Every dad should build new traditions with his children. Family traditions, especially daddy-child ones, give our children a sense of identity, belonging, and security. Traditions create shared memories and bonds that children love because they crave connection and predictability, especially in a constantly changing world. Here are some impactful traditions you can start (thanks Ambitious Dads for the ideas!) 1. Kitchen Traveler: Once a month, pick a country, learn about it, and cook a new recipe from there. Bonus points if your kids help shop for ingredients! 2. Gratitude or Dream Jar: Paint a container together and regularly drop notes about things you’re grateful for or dreams for the future. This practice fosters gratitude and positive thinking in your children while creating a sense of shared hope and ambition. 3. Daddy-Child Trips: Start special 24-hour trips with your child. My oldest was 5 when we began, and it’s become a cherished tradition. Check out my thoughts below on building traditions. And I'm forever collecting new ones - what are some traditions have you started with your kids? #Fatherhood #Parenting #FamilyTraditions #DadLife #Dads #AmbitiousDads #ParentingHacks #Leadership #Worklifebalance

One of my favorite quotes recently is: ‘In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future.’ Family is more than just a connection—it’s where our stories begin and where our dreams for the future take root. It reminds us to reflect on the lessons and love passed down through generations while building a brighter tomorrow for the next. Let’s celebrate the families—whatever form they take—that have shaped us and the ones we’re building for the future. What does family mean to you? Share your reflections below.
