Thank you to CWEL for allowing me to share my perspective and thoughts about Independence Day! Please check out the linked article to learn about some of the unique experiences faced by tribal child welfare workers.
“For many Native Americans, the Fourth of July is a holiday that whitewashes history and glorifies colonization. The Declaration of Independence, which is widely celebrated as a symbol of American freedom from Great Britain, refers to this nation’s first people as ‘merciless Indian savages.’ The creation of the United States represents a painful story of colonization, broken treaties, forced removals, and calculated genocidal efforts. CWEL spends this time honoring the resilience and survival of tribal nations despite centuries of colonization and oppression.” -Kendra Lowden, CWEL Director of Leadership and Tribal Initiatives Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gaMrjWPS #July4th #IndependenceDay #ChildWelfare #CWWorkforce #DEIB #ICWA #TransformingChildWelfare #TribalChildWelfare

Wikipedia caricatures Zionism as an “ethno-cultural nationalist movement” that sought the “colonization of a land outside of Europe.” In Wikipedia’s warped telling of history, Israeli Jews from the Middle East and North Africa, as well as from Ethiopia, are European colonizers. One need not be European or even a colonizer to be branded a European colonizer. Who knew? Here’s the actual history. Before the State of Israel, there was the British empire. The end of British colonization is not colonization. It is decolonization.

This ridiculous notion based on pure ignorance is indeed sad that it is being promoted in September of 2024. How absurd is it that probably one of the smallest nations on planet earth continues to make headlines daily, producing some of the most advanced technology, both militarily and economically. As Jews we build, rebuild to ensure the continuity of the forcoming generations. With Hamas it is the destruction of the present generation or any future ones for that matter. Why in effect do they need a homeland then? Probably just the excuse to wage war wherever and whenever they can. This is not about right or wrong, good or bad. The lack of clarity the world sees both the Jewish State, Israel, Jews in the diaspora is apparent for the calls to war on campuses around the world. The very hallmark that educates the upcoming generations is now producing blind hatred for in the most part, no reason. Jews are amongst the most nomadic nations on this earth. Charity or tzedaka in a colloquial term is one of the most important commandments as Jews alike. We give and we give disproportionately to other nations of the world. No Arab countries in the world will accept Palestinians. Send them to Europe, anywhere but another Arab country. Those Palestinians lucky enough to live in Israel enjoy freedom and democracy. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Historical Context of Colonialism and Its Aftermath Colonial Legacy: After World War II, many Muslim-majority countries gained independence from colonial rule. However, the legacy of colonialism left these nations politically fragmented and economically dependent. The creation of artificial nation-states often disregarded ethnic and cultural boundaries, leading to internal conflicts and instability. This fragmentation was a strategy employed by colonial powers to weaken the collective strength of the Muslim world.

Sounds good, but impossible to bring into action without reform in UN charter accord to the need of this contemporary world. Why it is important and how it is achievable? Many complicated questions confront the world’s leadership and all leading religious instructors who thirst for a unanimous conclusion for global security in the current predicament of nuclear proliferation, terrorism and war, within the context of the moral crisis in political ethics and religious conflicts. 1. Is our world leadership united and coherent enough to combat the sources of terrorism and war given the rise of scientific insights that continue to design and manufacture lethal weapons for mass killing (that is, nuclear weapons)? (In fact, the effect of our genetic nature had always forced us to use whatever we have created for individual conceptions of safety and peace) 2. Is it possible for the entire world led by God for human beings to uproot the sources of religious conflicts that erupt in the blood of massacre? (No! They are enthralled in the strictures of their own religious tradition. It is impossible for them to surrender their own religious profession to transcend their own faiths to fill in the religious gaps that divide human perception) 3. Do UN bureaucracies and administrations have enough potential to lead the global community on the path toward peace and propel those in positions of leadership to overcome complicated political issues, humanitarian crises, and religious conflicts? ( No! The UN embodies potential political ethics are beyond the reach of the general public) 4. Are we safe neglecting these larger issues that force us to an unnatural end? ( No ! Never!! ) 5. Do we have ample, sufficient, and appropriate ideas and resources to combat those masterminds that have converted humankind into “lethal bombs” ( No ! The current world’s political race is based mostly on professional issues, neglecting the true facts that separates the existence of humankind, within the mazes of religious and political views) To solve these contemporary controversial issues of this current human race armed by lethal Nuclear weapons, We’ve tried to approach the world literate community, beyond their inherited political and religious thoughts, to help the United Nation to overcome the perils of terrorism and war, by promoting the sources of MORAL education within the scientific and professional academic system. No Doubt! It is possible.
